Courtesy call to the USeP President
The Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and University in the Philippines
(AACCUP, Inc.) has scheduled a survey visit to qualify 11 programs of the Univer-
sity of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) from December 1 to 5 this year.
On the first day, 18 AACCUP accreditors from different State Colleges and Univer-
sities arrived at the Office of the President at 8 o’clock in the morning. The accredi-
tors were introduced to the new and 6th President of the University, Dr. Lourdes
C. Generalao, by the University Overall Accreditation Coordinator Mr. Reynaldo M.
Nogodula; VP for Academic Affairs, Dr. Shirley S. Villanueva, and the Dean of
College of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Eveyth P. Deligero were also introduced.
Dr. Generalao also introduced herself, her professional background and the Uni-
versity to the accreditors and guests. Headed by Dr. Brigida A. Roscom from MSU
-IIT as the Overall Accreditation Coordinator, the accreditors introduced them-
selves to the President. All other 17 accreditors are: Prof. Jennyleigh A.
Mangubat, Dr. Bernarda C. Lleno, Dr. Luz B. Un, Dr. Demetria May T. Saniel, and
Prof. Rozanne Tuesday G. Flores from BSU; Dr. Lawrence Anthony U. Dollente,
and Dr. Marcelina O. Bahalla from USM; Prof. Juwairiya U. Lingga, Dr. Samsia I.
Tilendo, and Prof. Elena O. Biado from CCSPC; Dr. Antonette B. Donoso, Eng’r.
Rosanne E. Andaluz, Dr. Cecilia E. Arcon and Dr. Leonidisa S. Litang from SSCT;
Dr. Raul C. Orongan from CMU; Dr. Jullus T. Bacatan from JRMSU; and Dr. Ame-
lita S. Indo from ASSCAT.
The President expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the accreditors for sharing their
time in helping USeP become a premier University in the ASEAN Region.

AACCUP Accreditation Survey Visit Kicks Off
The 5-day AACCUP Accreditation Survey Visit was kicked-off with an opening
program on December 1, 2015. The accrediting team, various university adminis-
trators and officials, professors, and students gathered at the University Social
Hall to witness the event.
In her opening remarks, Dr. Shirley Villanueva, the VP for Academic Affairs, wel-
comed and informed everyone with a good news about the top board passers of
Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) from the University.
The newly seated University President, Dr. Lourdes C. Generalao on the other
hand, highlighted that as the 6th President of USeP, which caters over 18,000
students in more than 60 programs in all seven campuses, her job is very de-
manding and equally challenging. She mentioned that taking USeP to the top is
her main goal. She also stated with conviction that she will institute mechanisms
to ascertain that the University shall possess and embark quality education to its
major clients who are the students.
Dr. Brigida A. Roscom, the AACCUP Survey Team Overall Coordinator, intro-
duced the AACCUP Accreditors which is composed of various administrators and
professors from other AACCUP-member schools. In her speech, she remarked on
the timeliness of the accreditation and the recent success in the LET. The Bache-
lor of Secondary Education (English and Mathematics) was one of the programs
to be accredited.
Aside from BSEd, other programs to be accredited include BS in Mathematics; BS
in Statistics; BS in Economics; MS in Econometrics; MS in Economics; Master of
Industrial Technology; Master of Technology Education; BS in Agriculture with
majors on Horticulture, Agronomy, and Animal Science; BS in Forestry; and BS in
Agriculture with majors in Enterprise Management and Plant Pathology.
The Task Force for each program was introduced by their respective Deans: Dr.
Eveyth P. Deligero for the College of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Agustina B. Tan-Cruz
