Staging: o Large inflatable dice o Inflatable donut o Bright paper lanterns o Tissue hanging fans (to look like a clock) o Watercolor backdrop

Game: Match that Card o Materials Needed:

o Large set of Matching Game (Preset before every service) o Prizes/Candy (at least 12 per service hour)

o How to play: o You will set up a giant matching game on the floor! Each of

the 12 contestants will have only 15 seconds to find a matching pair of cards by turning over two cards at a time! If a contestant doesn’t find a pair before time runs out, they’re out of the game! If they do find a matching pair before time runs out, they will receive a prize! Contestants may only make one match each.

o Award candy prize to each of the 12 contestants who make a match within the 15 seconds.

Note: * If you are a stationary campus, place some cans that have been collected on stage to give the kids a visual of the collection* Props Needed:

o Toy (such as a remote control car or Barbie Doll) o Video Game (such as an Xbox disk)

are here today at the Way Station. • Now the Way Station is a place for having tons of fun as we learn about

God, but we also have to do something very important! We have to learn to pay close attention so we don’t miss what God is trying to teach us!

• So let’s start off with some prayer!

• Our memory verse for this series talks about that too! Let’s review it together!

• Remember, if you can say the memory verse to your small group leader or one of the leaders here in the Way Station, you will receive the series pin! (Host shows memory verse pin)

• So back to stewardship. Stewardship is just a fancy way of saying to take care of what you got! In doing so, we honor God, the Giver of all good things!

• How do we honor God, you might be wondering? Let’s say you lend someone…(pulls out toy)…your favorite toy or your favorite (shows video game) video game. Then you go over to their house and you see it lying on the floor with a broken piece, or you see your video game all scratched up.

• Did that person show you they cared for what you had given them? (Allow response)

• No way! But if you saw how much they cared for what you’ve lent

them, I’m sure you would appreciate it! • In that same way, we can honor God when we take care of the

We’re going to play a game where you have to do a little bit of both. Pointing to matching game. On the floor you’ll see a giant matching game! • Today, we’re going to talk about using our money wisely! • Thankfully, the Bible includes a TON of instructions about how God

wants us to handle the money He allows us to have. • We’ll find some in the New Testament of our Bibles in a letter called 2

Corinthians. All right everyone, let’s check in with Kellen and our Bible Story!

• If you don’t throw down a lot of seed, you can’t expect much of a harvest. On the other hand, if you do the work to plant lots and lots of seeds, then you will likely see a big harvest.

• All of this brings us to our Bottom Line for today!

Say it with me…Use your money wisely!

• Here’s the thing—we CAN’T give if we don’t save. But we WON’T give if we’re stingy and selfish. So one of the things we need to learn is HOW to give. And sometimes, like many things in life, it takes practice.

• You know who was the most generous giver? God! He doesn’t want to hold back from giving good things to those who love Him. And like Kellen said in our Bible story, God gave us the GREATEST gift EVER! HE sent His only son to save us from our sins. He did that so that we can live forever with Him!

• If God can give, we must give, too.

UseIt_Worship Let’s be wise with our time and give God our worship! One of our songs today says “You will never fade away, your love is here to stay”. That is so true of our God! Unlike time or things or even our money, God’s love is here to stay! Let’s worship!

When you are generous with what you’ve been given, God can use that gift to help others. Now you may not have a job or an allowance, but God loves a cheerful giver. So whenever you do get a few bucks, you can give back to God through your offering. And you never know how God is going to use that money to help others. UseIt_October Family Mission_Slide Another way you can use the things God has blessed you with wisely is by sharing with others!

Only a couple of weeks remain for our Family Mission – Canned Collection! And just to see how much we’ve collected, I want anyone who has a can to come up and place it on the stage! (Wait for response)

• Nice! What do you guys think? Can we collect even more cans by the end of the month? (Wait for response)

• I think so! So bring in those cans of CRANBERRIES AND CORN to be distributed to families in need in our community! The food will be added to meal boxes that will be given out during our Thanksgiving food distribution on November 18.
