To talk about actions happened in indefinite past

When the actions happened in the pastbut have consequences in the present

• When we talk about a period of time notfinished: today, this morning, this year, thisweek, so far…..
I’ve eaten too many donuts today!
They’ve worked hard so far!
• To talk about situations started in the pastbut not concluded . (using «since or for»)
I’ve lived in this house since I was born
I’ve loved you for years!
To make questions about a situation that started in the past but continue now (using «How long?»)
•How long has he worked in this factory?
How long have they had thatcar?
To talk about recent actions (using «just», «already»)
• I’ve just had a bath!

When you use «yet, not…..yet or still»
