Use CCH IntelliConnect Database to Locate Tax Law Information

IntelliConnect database provides the following tax law information:

• Explanations• Laws• Regulations• Cases• IRS materials• Annotations• Legislative documents• Misc. Editorial Content

To access CCH Intelliconnect database, following the steps:

• Step 1: go to JSU Library homepage: http://www.jsu.edu/library/, click on “Databases” tab

• Step 2: click on “Title Listing” under “All Databases”

• Step 3: click on letter “I” under “A-Z Resource List”• Step 4: click on “Intelliconnect - CCH Tax Research

Network”, and you will be connected to the Intelliconnect database.

Searching by CitationYou can use specific citation references to search for documents. Type the citation reference in the search box. For example, 172 and then click “Go”, the result will be shown.

Keyword Searching

you can search your entire subscription by entering terms in the Search box and clickingGo. You can narrow down your search by appropriate areas. For example, if you need information on the computation of net operating loss (nol), you will type “computation of net operating loss” in the search box (see next slide)
