Ijustloveit.That’sit.Fromviewingthissupercoolpieceofjewelry, I had the idea that actually you could wear a piece of postcard. In this set of rings, you have 7: one for each day of the week! So so LOVELY! Could be that each postcard of the set could have something to remove and keep and yes, maybe wear it
Each postcard could be one element like each of this circle. And all together form a beautiful sculpture to put on the desk). The sculpture is made by the cooperation with the others. The sculpture could represent Uscreates.
Could be interesting engage the receiver of the postcard in a simple game of just linking dots. Nothing to complex, every-body can do it, from the lazy intern to the super busy manager oftheRoyalHospital.Obviouslythefinalimagemustbesome-thing pretty lovely and worth of spending the time of linking all the numbers
Ifyouareasocreativemindthatcannotholdyourflowofthoughts no even in the shower, just buy this waterproof sketchbook!Obviouslyisnotreallyfittingwiththepostcardsconcept, but I just loved the playing with materials
Idea
Ideas generation process
On a Friday morning we met with my group and have a productive two hours ses-sion of brainstorming. We prepared some tables with 25emptyspacestobefilledwith 25 completely different ideas.Aftereveryonefinishedwe started to vote each others cards on a scale fro 1 to 5.
25 ideas

Any Uscreates project is lead to improve the life of people. Improving life of people means making them happier. This can be done in different ways. For these prototypes I tried to compare happiness to something to spread, plant and take care of, like a plant. For this reason I put some seeds inside thepostcards.Furthermoreflower/plantarealovelygiftsthatalwaysmake people happy.
Happiness and engagement
To strength also the values of happiness and engagement I had the Idea of producing game cards through which the receiver could amuse himself every time he would receive one. In this one I combined the “spread the happiness” message with a maze.
Thisoneismoresimpleanditdoesn’tneedto be a game.
3 prototypes
To express these two essential values I cre-ated a series of postcard thatcollected would form a penholder. The idea was creating different pattern for each penholder (that could have been con-structed with a maximum of four postcard and a minimum of three like the picture above) using the Uscreates colors
This second prototypes which respects the same values as starting point of its creation would have rounded shaped postcards of two different dimensions which collected would create a abstract sculpture to be used as desk decoration. Each circle would probably have a different color and a different message.
Uscreates base its activity on the Cooperation with people and through theirengagement.WithoutpeopleUscreateswouldn’texistsothroughthisfirstprototypeIwanttoexpressthisconceptofindividualsthatgotogether and create a bigger entity useful and modern as it is Uscreates.I created two objects that just through their assemblage form something usefulforthefirstcaseandbeautifulforthesecond.Thepiecesontheirown would not mean anything and just through the engagement of the receiver that has to built them can work.
Cooperation and engagement
Cooperation and engagementAny Uscreates project is lead to improve the life of people. Improving life of people means making them happier. Sometimes happiness is so close to us and made by small little things. For this prototype I tried to create one of this small things that can improve the daily life. Smile are power-ful tool of happiness, and I strongly feel a missing of smiles in London. Is so rare that someone randomly smile at you in the streets or when your siting in the underground, but when this happens, it is a great feeling and ispossibledon’tsmileback.Iwantedtocreateafriendlypostcards, thatwould have make the receiver smile and that would have been kept and maybe positioned on the wall. I de
To express this I designed two smiling postcards on mirrored paper. So when the receiver would look at the postcard would see his face with a nice painted smile an a cheerful message. With my handwriting I wrote two different messages that would be completed by the message on the back of the cards
Happiness
The last lesson before the hand-in has been the most useful among all the others as each of us had the chance to receive a feedback from the other student and from Joanna. It was an interesting method, we have been di-vided in three groups: devils, angels and ideas. The devils shouldhavegototheideaanddestroythe, findingallthebad sides while angels should have improve with posi-tive and constructive ideas. Every half an hour we were rotating.
This led me to choose the strongest and most popular idea which was the smiling card. Was quite interesting see the reaction of the people: actually everybody was try it and smiling for real!
The most useful suggestion that I received about my prototype was:
• UsingUscreates’typeface• Finding a way in which the receiver could interact
with the postcard• Change the messages to let the work for all the target
audience
Devils and angels and choice of the most powerful
To increase the engagement of the public with my idea I create a way of creating a conversation between Uscreates people. This mirror card it is a lovely object that you can hang/stick in different places of the house to improve your day. On the website www.uscreates.com/smiling postcard.com it wouldbepossiblefinddifferentsuggestions
(with explicatory drawings) of where to put the postcards (like for a better start of the day, start it with a smile! Hang your card in the toilet, close to the mirror! etc. Further-more people will have the chance to upload pictures and new suggestions of the use of these postcards.

We love making people smiling
I have been communicating with Joanna and she suggested me few different things:
1. Find a strong strap line that could work for all the target audience and with dif-ferent messages: I thin the core of all this project is communicate that Uscre-ates make people happy through their work, and then through “We love mak-ingpeoplehappy”thispointisfulfilled
2. Use just one mouth as there is not point to make different design of the same thing
3. Adding different details for different seasons/charity event. I decided to produce one general and four seasonal: Movember,Saint Valentine, Christmas and Red nose day.
4. Furthermore I want to make the back of the cards white, so it is going to be cheaper printing on it.
