Acquire Images Using a Choice ofImport Options.Once you’ve set up a customer session in

Studio Solution, you can shoot with your CanonEOS Digital SLR as usual. The images you capturecan be transferred to the software using any offour different methods. Your Canon EOS Digital SLRcan be tethered to a Studio Solution computerusing a USB cable. You can also send imageswirelessly from your Canon EOS Digital SLR to thesoftware using a Canon Wireless File Transmitter(operating in FTP server mode) on the cameraand a WiFi connection. Witheither of these methods, StudioSolution automatically grabsimage files from yourcamera as you shoot,making it unnecessary totake any additional transfersteps before proceedingwith image processing.You can also transfer imagefiles from the camera bysetting up a “hot folder” onyour computer or network.Images placed in the folder are then automaticallyimported into Studio Solution. Finally, you canmanually import images from any storage mediathat you can access on your computer, such asmemory cards through a memory card reader.

What You Shoot Immediately Becomes Partof Your Studio Solution Database.Imported images are automatically cataloged in thelibrary folder designated for the customer and joband become an integral part of your database. Theyare instantly available for processing and editing,and you can tag your images with additional shootdata, such as keywords, to enhance identificationand narrow future database searches. A keywordcan be used, forexample, tobatch-perform avalue-added serviceoption, such as acustom border, toonly a specific set ofimages identified bythat keyword. StudioSolution can alsoarchive your photofiles to pre-selectedlong-term storagemedia, such as network-attached hard drives orCD and DVD media.

Shoot in Live View Mode withRemote Camera Control.When your Canon EOS Digital SLRis tethered to your computer via aUSB cable, Studio Solution givesyou powerful shooting options.Canon EOS Digital SLRs connectedvia a USB cable are automaticallydetected by the software.Moreover, the camera can feedthe live image to the computer, where it can beviewed in the Photo Workshop module of StudioSolution software. When you’re ready to trip theshutter, you can do it at the camera or at yourcomputer using the spacebar.

Simplified Image Management.The images you shoot and import can be easilyaccessed and managed within the Photo Librarymodule of Studio Solution. It is a centralized “bank”where you can browse your photographs, viewhistograms and other important image-relateddata, and organize them as you see fit. When youdouble-click on an image in the Photo Library,

it automatically opens in the Photo Workshopmodule, where you can quickly and efficientlyperform desired enhancements.

Quick and Powerful ImageEnhancement and Retouching.The Photo Workshop module within

Studio Solution provides an easy way to make themost common image adjustments, such as blemishremoval, red-eye reduction, sharpening, whitebalance and tonal corrections. You can even quicklyperform more advanced image editing operations,such as black-and-white, sepia tone, and duotoneconversions, customized borders and text, andvignettes. With RAW files, you can additionallyuse Canon Picture Style presets to make fastadjustments based on parameters such as lighting,subject type and personal preferences. With one

click, you can open the RetouchWorkshop, which gives you access tofamiliar tools for advanced photo editing, suchas clone, dodge, burn, paint brush and lasso.These tools are fast and easy to use, saving youtime not only in image adjustment but also instaff training. Images captured on-location are easily imported into the StudioSolution library using a memory card reader. The Studio SessionEach morning, your photographer logs into Studio Solution and seesthe day’s jobs and every assignment on their own calendar. It tellsthem not only the time of each shoot but also the designated studio,the nature of the job, and any special customer requests or require-ments. At the beginning of the session, the photographer simply tethers theCanon EOS Digital SLR to the studio computer using a USB connection.
