Important UCI RulesCATEGORIES AND PARTICIPATIONAGE OF PARTICIPANTS• A rider must be at least 5 years of age to compete in a UCI sanctioned BMX event. The minimum age of 5 refers to the real calendar age on the day of race commencement.

The category a rider is eligible to ride is determined by his age which shall be calculated by deducting the year of birth from the current year.

• Riders aged 17 or over may choose to compete in the Challenge or Championship class. This decision is made at the beginning of the UCI racing season (January 1, 2015). A rider who

Classes will be based on age not classification.

The structure for the 2015 World Championship qualifications has changed. The qualifying events will occur at two different locations over Memorial Day weekend. The Saturday events at both Albuquerque and Nashville will start off with moto #1 of the USA Cycling BMX World Championship Qualifiers. We will run through all the challenge classes & then start the USA BMX Saturday National. The USA Cycling event will run under the 3 moto total points system & the USA BMX National will run under our standard 2 moto transfer system. WE WILL NOT OFFER OPEN CLASSES FOR THE SATURDAY EVENT.

• Helmets must be of full face construction equipped with a visor of minimum 10 centimeters. Helmet strap must be securely fastened during the completion of the race. Open face helmets are not allowed. Gloves must be worn and completely cover the rider’s finger tips.

Participant Information• The top 8 riders at each event will

qualify for the 2015 UCI BMX World Championship.

• All pre registered riders must check in to turn in signed waivers.

• ONLY U.S. CITIZENS ARE ALLOWED TO COMPETE in Saturday’s USA Cycling BMX World Championship Qualifier. ALL RIDERS MUST BRING PROOF OF US CITIZENSHIP (Birth Certificate or Passport)

• These two events will be the ONLY way to qualify for the 2015 UCI World Championships in Zolder Circuit, Belgium.
