PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE)Someofthematerialsthatarechemical-resistanttothisproductarelistedbelow.Ifyouwantmoreoptions,followtheinstructionsforcategoryAonanEPAchemical-resistancecategoryselectionchart.

Applicators and other handlers must wear: Long-sleeved shirt and long pants, chemical-resistant gloves made of any waterproof material such as polyethylene or polyvinyl chloride,shoesplussocksandprotectiveeyewear.Whenmixing/loadingorcleaningequipment,weara chemical resistant apron in addition to the other required PPE. Discard clothing and otherabsorbent materials that have been drenched or heavily contaminated with this product’sconcentrate.Donotreusethem.

Follow manufacturer’s instructions for cleaning/maintaining PPE. If no such instructions forwashablesexist,usedetergentandhotwater.KeepandwashPPEseparatelyfromotherlaundry.

USER SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONSUsersshouldwashhandsbeforeeating,drinking,chewinggum,using tobaccoorusing thetoilet. Users should remove clothing/PPE immediately if pesticide gets inside. Then washthoroughlyandputoncleanclothing.UsersshouldremovePPEimmediatelyafterhandlingthisproduct.Washtheoutsideofglovesbeforeremoving.Assoonaspossible,washthoroughlyandchange into clean clothing.

ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDSThisproductistoxictonon-targetplants.Donotapplydirectlytowater,toareaswheresurfacewaterispresentortointertidalareasbelowthemeanhighwatermark.Donotcontaminatewaterwhencleaningequipmentordisposingofequipmentwashwaters.

Thisproducthasahighpotentialforrunoffafterapplication.Poorlydrainingsoilsandsoilswithshallowwater tables are more prone to produce runoff that contains this product. A level, well-maintainedvegetativebufferstripbetweenareastowhichthisproductisappliedandsurfacewaterfeaturessuchasponds,streamsandspringswillreducethepotentialforcontaminationofwaterfromrunoff.Runoffofthisproductwillbereducedbyavoidingapplicationswhenrainfallisforecastedtooccurwithin48hours.Sounderosioncontrolpracticeswillreducethisproduct’scontributiontosurfacewatercontamination.

Donotapplywhenconditionsfavordriftfromtreatedareas.

Ground Water AdvisoryTheactiveingredientsinthisproducthavepropertiesandcharacteristicsassociatedwithchemicalsdetectedingroundwater.Thischemicalmayleachintogroundwaterifusedinareaswheresoilsarepermeable,particularlywherethewatertableisshallow.

CAPRENO®HerbicidecontainsTembotrione,whichisknowntoleachthroughsoilintogroundwaterundercertainconditionsasaresultoflabeleduse.

ENDANGERED SPECIES PROTECTION REQUIREMENTS Thisproductmayhaveeffectson federally listed threatenedorendangeredspeciesor theircriticalhabitat in some locations. When using this product, you must follow the measures contained intheEndangeredSpeciesProtectionBulletin for thecountyorparish inwhichyouareapplying thepesticide.TodeterminewhetheryourcountyorparishhasaBulletin,andtoobtainthatBulletin,consulthttp://www.epa.gov/espp/,orcall1-800-447-3813nomorethan6monthsbeforeusingthisproduct.ApplicatorsmustuseBulletins thatare ineffect in themonth inwhich thepesticidewillbeapplied.NewBulletinswillgenerallybeavailablefromtheabovesources6monthspriortotheireffectivedates.

AGRICULTURAL USE REQUIREMENTSUsethisproductonlyinaccordancewithitslabelingandwiththeWorkerProtectionStandard,40 CFR part 170. This standard contains requirements for the protection of agriculturalworkersonfarms,forests,nurseries,andgreenhouses,andhandlersofagriculturalpesticides.Itcontainsrequirementsfortraining,decontamination,notificationandemergencyassistance.Italsocontainsspecificinstructionsandexceptionspertainingtothestatementsonthislabelaboutpersonalprotectiveequipment(PPE)andrestrictedentryintervals.TherequirementsinthisboxonlyapplytousesofthisproductthatarecoveredbytheWorkerProtectionStandard.Donotenterorallowworkerentryintotreatedareasduringtherestrictedentryinterval(REI)of12hours.

PPE that is required for early entry to treated areas that is permitted under the WorkerProtectionStandardandthat involvescontactwithanythingthathasbeentreatedsuchasplants,soilorwater,iscoverallsoverlong-sleevedshirtandlongpants,socksandshoesandchemical-resistantglovesmadeofanywaterproofmaterialsuchaspolyethyleneorpolyvinylchlorideandprotectiveeyewear.

PRODUCT INFORMATION CAPRENO Herbicide may be used for preemergence or postemergence selective controlof annual grasses and broadleaf weeds in field corn, field corn grown for silage, white corn,andseedcorn.IfCAPRENOHerbicideisappliedasapreemergenceapplication,donotapplyCAPRENO Herbicide as a postemergence application. Dry weather conditions following thepreemergenceapplicationofCAPRENOHerbicidemayreduceweedcontrol.WhenCAPRENOHerbicide is applied postemergence, growth of susceptible weeds ceases within hours afterapplication.Symptomsonsusceptibleweedspeciesprogressfromstuntedgrowthtoyellowingandbleaching tonecrosis resulting ineventualplantdeathgenerallywithin7 to14daysafter

application. CAPRENOHerbicidealsocontainsasafener,whichgreatly reducesorpreventsthe temporary yellowing or stunting crop response associated with the contained herbicidechemistrieswhenappliedpostemergence.Ifsymptomsappear,cornquicklyoutgrowstheeffectanddevelopsnormally.

CAPRENO Herbicide is effective in controlling glyphosate-, triazine-, plant growth regulant-,PPO-orALS-resistantweedpopulations.

APPLICATION METHODSGround Application: 1. Applywithground equipment only.DONOTAPPLYBYAIR.

2. DO NOT OVERLAP SPRAY PATTERNS BEYOND EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURERSRECOMMENDATIONS AS EXCESSIVE RATES MAY RESULT IN ADVERSE CROPRESPONSES.

3. ApplyCAPRENOHerbicidealoneor in tankmixtures inaminimumof10gallonsofspraymixtureperacre.Uniform,thoroughspraycoverageisimportanttoachieveconsistentweedcontrol.

4. Keep the spray boom at the lowest possible spray height above the target surface. Refer tothenozzlemanufacturer’srecommendationsforpropernozzle,pressuresettingandsprayerspeedforoptimumproductperformanceandminimalspraydrift.

5. Unevenapplication,sprayersnotproperlycalibrated,orimproperincorporationmaydecreasethelevelofweedcontroland/orincreasethelevelofadversecropresponse.Overapplicationor boom overlapping may result in stand loss. Maintain a constant ground speed whileapplying thisproduct toensureproperdistribution.MAINTAIN ADEQUATE AGITATION AT ALL TIMES, INCLUDING MOMENTARY STOPS.

6. SPRAY DRIFT MANAGEMENTa. Toreducethepotentialofspraydrifttonon-targetareas,applythisproductusingnozzles

which deliver medium to coarse spray droplets as defined by ASAE standard S-572and as shown in nozzle manufacturer’s catalogs. Flat fan nozzles of 80° or 110° arerecommended for optimum post emergence broadcast coverage. Nozzles that deliverCOARSEspraydropletsmaybeusedtoreducespraydriftprovidedsprayvolumeperacre(GPA)isincreasedtomaintaincoverageofweeds.DO NOTusenozzlesthatproduceFINE(e.g.-Cone)orEXTRACOARSE(e.g.,Floodjet)spraydroplets.

b. Onlyapplythisproductwhenthepotentialfordrifttoadjacentnon-targetareasisminimal(e.g.,whenthewindis10 MPH or less andisblowingawayfromsensitiveareas).Do not applyduringperiodsoftemperatureinversions.

c. Toavoidpotentialadverseeffectstonon-targetareas,maintaina25footbufferbetweenthepointofdirectapplicationandtheclosest downwind edgeofsensitiveterrestrialhabitats(suchasgrasslands,forestedareas,shelterbelts,woodlots,hedgerows,riparianareasandshrublands),sensitivefreshwaterhabitats(suchaslakes,rivers,sloughs,ponds,creeks,marshes,streams,reservoirsandwetlands)andestuarine/marinehabitats.

Preemergence Applications Preemergence applications of CAPRENO Herbicide may be made in either conventional,conservation tillage or no-till cropping systems. Grass and broadleaf weeds controlled by apreemergence application of CAPRENO Herbicide are listed in Table 1. Apply CAPRENOHerbicidealoneorintankmixturesinaminimumof10gallonsofspraymixtureperacre.

Broadcast Postemergence Applications ApplyCAPRENOHerbicidebroadcastinaminimumof10gallonsofwaterperacre.Forweedcontrolindenseweedpopulationsorunderadversegrowingconditions,applythisproductin15to20gallonsofwaterperacre.Goodcoverageisessentialtoachieveoptimumweedcontrol.CAPRENOHerbicide is recommended tobeappliedbroadcastpostemergence to field corn,corngrownforsilageandwhitecornfromtheV1corngrowthstageupto20inchestall. Do not applyiffieldcorn,corngrownforsilageandwhitecornismorethan20inchestallorexhibitingseven(7)ormoreleafcollars(V7),whicheverismorerestrictive.BroadcastapplicationsforcorngrownforseedarerecommendedfromtheV1toV5growthstages(5leafcollars).

For Preemergence Applications and Broadcast Postemergence Applications, flat-fannozzlesoperatedat30-60PSIwilltypicallydeliverMEDIUMspraydroplets,providingoptimumspraycoverageandcanopypenetration.Lowerpressureoperationand/orhighervolumeflatfannozzlestypicallydeliverCOARSEsprays.Refertonozzlemanufacturercatalogs.

• Boomheightshouldbebasedontheheightofthecrop–atleast15inchesabovethecropcanopy.

• Airinductionnozzlesshouldbeusedatornear80psitoproduceamediumdropletsize.

• Properagitationshouldbemaintainedwithinthetanktokeeptheproductdispersed.

• SeetheSpray Drift Management sectionof this label foradditional informationonproperapplicationofCAPRENOHerbicide.

Directed Postemergence Applications DirectedpostemergenceapplicationsofCAPRENOHerbicidecanbemadetocornuptoandthroughtheseven(7)leafcollarstageofgrowth(V7,thefirstleafhasaroundedtip).DonotapplytocornthatismorematurethanV7stageofgrowth(i.e.morethan7visibleleafcollars).ApplicationsofCAPRENOHerbicideoncornthatisV6upthroughV7increasesthepotentialforanadversecropresponse.Theriskmaybegreatlyreduced,butnoteliminated,byusingdropnozzlesproperlyplacedbetweencornrowstooptimizecoverageontheweedsandminimizespraycontactinthewhorlandtheleafaxlesofthecornstalks.Usedropnozzlesandappropriatespacingtodirectspraybelowthecornwhorlandupperleaves.Thetopofthetargetweedcanopymustbesufficientlybelowthewhorlandupperleavesofthecroptopermitthisapplicationandprovideadequatespraycoverage.Theheightdifferentialrequiredbetweenthecropandweedcanopywilldependonthespecificequipmentused.

11.If a preplant/preemergence HPPD containing product has been applied, do not apply a soloapplicationofCAPRENOHerbicideinthesameseason;alwaysincludeanadditionaleffectivemodeofactionherbicide(s)asatankmixpartner.

ROTATIONAL CROP RESTRICTIONSRotationalcropsvaryintheirresponsetolowconcentrationsofCAPRENOHerbicideremainingin the soil.The amount of CAPRENO Herbicide that may be present in the soil depends onsoil moisture, soil temperature, application rate, elapsed time since application and otherenvironmentalfactors.WhenCAPRENOHerbicideisusedincombinationwithotherproducts,alwaysfollowthemostrestrictiverotationalcroprequirements.ThefollowingrotationalcropsmaybeplantedafterapplyingCAPRENOHerbicideincorn:
