Increment 2C – RF Technology The first time a traveler is processed in US VISIT, they will
be issued a unique automatic ID (a-ID), which is an RF tag.
This tag would be attached to a travel document at that time
Upon exit from the country at an RF enabled port, the a-ID would be passively and remotely read to register the exit of that tag.
Upon re-entry to the country at an RF enable port, the a-ID will be read prior to entering the primary inspection booth area, so that traveler information can be made available to the inspector as the traveler approaches
