Welcome

Mr. Per Rune Henriksen State Secretary Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy

Norway has always put high emphasis on sustainability and responsible management of our natural resources. Our policy has been to let the companies face strict safety and environmental regulations based on sound resource management principles. Today, Norway has managed to become the world’s third largest exporter of primary energy while we have one of the world’s lowest emissions per unit of oil produced and have minimized the use of chemicals offshore. The Norwegian petroleum sector has a very good track record with regard to meeting high environmental standards. These accomplishments would not have been possible without the continuous efforts of the Norwegian industry to develop and implement increasingly advanced technologies. I am confident that INTSOK’s focus on Solutions for Cleaner Production is a valuable contribution to the industry’s work to meet the world’s future energy needs in a sustainable manner.

INTSOK, representing the capabilities of some 300 Norwegian oil and gas companies, invites you to this conference on Minimizing oil spills and discharges to sea. This conference is the 13the annual US-Norway Technology Workshop. The conference comes as another step towards enhancing the joint initiative of Technology Partnership in Oil and Gas between the US and Norway. This year’s conference will focus on leading edge technologies related

to:

Oil spill preparedness and clean-up Deepwater drilling – well integrity Clean production

We are also proud to present the most renowned Norwegian explorer in modern times Ms. Cecilie Skog. She will share with you here experience as a polar explorer and mountain climber.

We look forward to seeing you!

Mr. Werner Karlsson Regional Director US & Middle East INTSOK

Mr. John Hurter US Country Manager INTSOK

TECHNI have put ALL ELECTRIC systems on the agenda, keeping a step ahead in R&D and innovations of modern sub sea and well technology.

The company concept TECHNI TOTAL ELECTRIC is a set of technology building blocks to make sub systems with sensors, controller and drives. Within the system lie both novel and standardised components, from sensor technologies to power distribution and drive units for sub sea processing, increased recovery and well pressure management.

TECHNI design and deliver;

HT & HP sensors, controls and mechanisms

Sub sea and well electronics with canisters

All electric, semi-electric and hydraulic actuators

All electric drives and control systems for pumps and compressors

Small and large permanent magnet motor drives & power units

Thermtech is a solution provider, dedicated to separate waste with friction based technology and the owner of the Thermo mechanical Cuttings Cleaner (TCC©) technology. The TCC© is a friction based (hammer mill) thermal desorption technology that is industrially proven both offshore and onshore for treatment of drill cuttings. The base oil in the mud is recovered from the cuttings and can be re-used, giving an optimal solution both environmentally and financially. In 2011 there will be 33 TCC© units in operation. Among others in Norway, Holland, Scotland, Germany, Egypt, Nigeria, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, UK, USA, Colombia, Algeria and Russia.

The TCC solutions are brought to the market in two different ways; by turn-key sales and by Manufacturing License Agreements. The 33 units include the units produced by Thermtech and those produced by the license holders.

Current License holders are TWMA, M-I SWACO and Halliburton. Unit customers include, among others, Baker Hughes, SAR AS and Scomi Oiltools.
