NWRC Mission
The mission of the NWRC is to develop and disseminate scientific information needed for understanding the ecology and values of our Nation’s wetlands and for managing and restoring wetlands, coastal habitats, and associated plant and animal communities.
NWRC expertise is sought nationally and internationally to provide vital scientific information and innovative technology that advances the restoration and conservation of wetland, riparian, and coastal landscapes and the species and trust resources they support.
NWRC Vision
The NWRC provides long-term, large-scale, & relevant scientific information to the Nation. Three goals guide Center research program directions:
o Build Scientific Knowledge: Seek Discovery
o Develop Partnerships: Adaptive Science – Science Alliances
o Focus on Outcomes and Scientific Impacts
