The letter O indicates that these materials may not be loaded, transported or stored together in the same transport vehicle or storage facility unless separated in a manner that would prevent commingling of the materials in the eventof leakage. Class 8 (corrosives) liquids may not be loaded above or adjacent to a class 4 (flammable) or class 5 (oxidizer) unless it is known that the mixture would not cause a fire or a dangerous evolution of heat or gas.The * indicates that segregation among different Class 1 (explosive) materials must be done in accordance with the Explosive Compatibility Table (see back).

However, hazardous materialsof the same class may be loaded, transported, or stowed together without regard to segregation required for any secondary hazard if the materials are not capable of reacting dangerously with each other and causing combustion or dangerous evolution of heat, evolution of flammable,poisonous, or asphyxiant gases, or formation of corrosive or unstable materials.
