Completed in 2012, McGrath Amphitheatre is an outdoor amphitheatre located on the west bank of the Cedar River. Concerts are typically held May- October, however, community events and activities are held year-round. This open-air venue holds 5,000 ticketed seats and provides three different seating options.

The Cedar Rapids Ice Arena is a double rink facility with one 4,000 seat NHL sized rink and one Olympic-sized rink overlooked by an observation deck and spacious lobby area. The Cedar Rapids Ice Arena is home to many active teams and associations including the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders USHL hockey team.

MERCHANDISESELLER *STARTING WAGE: $8.50/hr + commissionThe Merchandise Seller has a variety of responsibilities including but not limited to customer service, counting product in and out, setup and tear down of merchandise stands, and maintaining accurate accounting of cash and inventory in a fast-paced environment.

FOOD & BEVERAGECOOK *STARTING WAGE: $12.00/hrThe Cook is responsible for preparing menu items utilizing professional kitchen equipment in a fast-paced environment while following proper sanitation and food guidelines.

CONCESSION STAND/BARTENDER *STARTING WAGE: $8.50/hrThe Concession Stand Worker/Bartender has a variety of responsibilities including but not limited to customer service, selling menu items, mixing and serving non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. tendering accurate change, running product to-and-from other stands or storage, and stocking.

CASH ROOM ATTENDANT STARTING WAGE: $12.00/hrThe Cash Room Attendant will prepare the banks for the concession stands, portables, etc. and will provide change throughout the event, make the deposit after the event, and perform other duties as assigned.

RUNNER/DISTRIBUTION * STARTING WAGE: $9.50/hrThe Runner is responsible for taking product to-and-from stands or storage and stocking.

OPERATIONSLABORER *STARTING WAGE: $9.50/hr The Operations Team maintains the cleanliness of each venue and is responsible for setting up the specific needs of each event. Operations has shifts to fit many different schedules including days, nights, and weekends, with shifts varying from 2 hours to 12 hours in length. Partial shifts are also available.

STARTING WAGE: $12.00/hrThe primary responsibility of the Supervisor is to manage a team of Workers as well as assist with any of the duties listed under Laborer.

SHOW RUNNERSTARTING WAGE: $140.00 FLAT RATEThe Show Runner will be available to help with the needs of the show promoter, band, etc. while they are in the building. The Show Runner ensures all food is ordered and delivered in a timely manner. Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

STAGEHAND *STARTING WAGE: $15.82/hr (BASED ON EXPERIENCE) The responsibilities of the Stagehand include but are not limited to the setup and tear down of the stages, audio and lighting systems, assisting with set changes, and maintaining proper safety procedures.

TICKET OFFICETICKET SELLERSTARTING WAGE: $8.50/hrThe Ticket Seller’s primary responsibilities are to sell event tickets in the ticket office.

GUEST SERVICESEVENT STAFF - USHER, TICKET TAKER, SECURITY *STARTING WAGE: $8.50/hrEvent Staff Members are responsible for assisting and directing clients and patrons at the venues, scanning tickets, and monitoring and controlling crowds as necessary. These positions rotate based on the events.

STREET TEAMSTARTING WAGE: $75.00 FLAT RATEStreet Team responsibilities include hanging up event posters around town and handing out flyers to businesses.

CEDAR RAPIDS ICE ARENA SPECIFICOPERATIONS / MAINTENANCE*STARTING WAGE: $9.50/hrOperations/Maintenance Laborers are responsible for driving ice resurfacing machinery and will help with the general cleaning of the arena before, during and after an event. This includes assisting with conversion of the arena for events based on directions provided by supervisors. Expectations include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, sealing and waxing floors, etc.

SKATE RENTALSTARTING WAGE: $8.50/hrThe responsibilities of the Skate Rental Staff Member are to provide customer service, keep skate rental area organized, and maintain accurate accounting of cash and rentals.

EVENT STAFF (TICKET TAKERS) *STARTING WAGE: $8.50/hrThe Event Staff at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena are primarily responsible for collecting tickets from patrons entering events.
