• Hoen: fleece cap, field jacket, whistle• McCue: fleece cap• Johnson: MS3 kit• Brown: did not show up to PCI, did not meet with me before hand• night rider shifts were given to MS3’s• 2nd PCI will take place 27 March at 0500 at Memorial for all MS3’s
US Army Cadet Command
JAMES MADISON UNIVERSITY
Advanced Lab 13 March: Cordon and Search
• Sustains– Having cadets begin in a “fire base”
• Allowed for more rehearsal time and more effective team and squad rehearsals
– 3rd PL (cMunoz)• Munoz acted as the 3PL, in charge of the “outer cordon”, allowed more cadets to participate on the actual OBJ,
added another element to planning
– Radios• Allowed for more effective communication between PL, APL, and SLs
• Improves– Escalation of Force
• Was not used during several points on the OBJ, resulting in the death of a civillian. Cadets were reminded of the difference between the 5 S’s of Escalation of Force and the 5 S’s of handeling detainees
– Opord flip• Poor time management, PL and SLs were able to brief, but left no time for rehearsals
