• I chose the polar bear because I think they are beautiful, strong and well adapted.

• Polar bear’s diet mostly consists of seals but will eat left over whale carcases

• Their habitat is the cold tundra of the arctic and land around it

• They are the largest bear and the largest land carnivore

• They are well adapted to their niche, with thick layers of fat, black pelt and thick transparent fur keeps them warm in the cold.

• Global warming, and hunting's have made this species vulnerable.

• They hunt on the edge of the ice but their hunting seasons are shorter because the ice is melting.

• Humans should protect polar bears because they are the apex predators and like any other, they keep the ecosystem balanced by controlling the seal population.

• They also contribute to biodiversity.

• They can be protected by donating to conservation efforts and by slowing and/or preventing any more damages from global warming
