Accountant:
Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) is the umbrella
body for the accountancy profession in Malaysia
Established under the Accountants Act, 1967 to regulate and
develop the accountancy profession in this country
MIA membership mandatory for those holding themselves out or
practising as an accountant in the country
MIA’s membership encompasses both legal and market
recognition for accountants in Malaysia
Members of MIA are conferred with the designation Chartered
Accountant Malaysia, abbreviated as `C.A.(M)’

Engineer:
The Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) is a statutory body
constituted under the Registration of Engineers Act 1967
Its primary role is to facilitate the registration of engineers and
regulate the professional conduct and practice of registered
engineers in order to safeguard the safety and interest of the
public.
Functions of BEM:-
conducts Professional Assessment Examination (PAE) to assess
the quality of experience gained by the Graduate Engineers
and their competency
conducts accreditation of engineering degree programmes
offered by institutions of higher learning within Malaysia

Logistician:
The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) is
a professional body representing the transport and logistics
industries worldwide.
It is a membership based organisation with over
30,000 members in over 30 countries.
Chartered Membership is the Institute's senior professional
grade of membership
A Chartered Member is awarded the post-nominal
letters CMILT

BIM was set up with the assistance of the Commonwealth
Foundation in the year 1973 to serve as the umbrella body
for all professions recognized by legislative Acts of Parliament
in Malaysia.
Membership has since been extended to include all other
professional groups and disciplines where the recognition by
the government authorities is still in progress

WHO IS IIPM?
The International Institute of Plantation Management (IIPM)
is a professional body representing all sectors of the
plantation industry
It was founded in May 2006 as an offshoot of Universiti
Teknologi MARA (UiTM).
The co-founder of the Institute were Golden Hope
Plantations, FELDA, FELCRA, Malaysian Palm Oil Board
(MPOB) etc.
Registered with SSM as ‘a company Limited by Guarantee &
Not Having A share capital’

communication to government, industry and community

To upgrade and uplift the profession of plantation

To serve as the international reference centre for the
planting industry
