2.8 Upgrade the Node B/RBS

This activity applied only if really needed to be done due to request from Ericsson Supervisor or other excuse such as un compatible software for HSDPA

Activate FTP server on Thin

client

Configure IP on thin client

Create New Upgrade

Ping Node B

Create Package

Install Package

Verify Upgrade

Upgrade Node

Confirm Upgrade

Make New CVRestart

Put node B (RBS) to the Initial CV (IP : 169.254.1.1/255.255.0.0)

So your laptop must be configure using IP = 169.254.1.2/255.255.0.0

Activate the FTP SERV_U

Go the menu “Software " on the drop down list

And select “upgrade Package”

Right click , and select create

Fill in the information for upgradeLike below picture

Click “Create Package”

After that click “install Package”

Click Soft Install

After that click verify Upgrade

Click upgrade node , choose soft upgrade

After that click confirm upgrade, choose yes

After process completed

Prepare to make new CV

Create New CV

Create new CV with new Name such as ‘INITIAL_CV_UPGRADE_to R30H

Restart the node with CV upgrade (warm restart)
