Summary
There is a possibility of change of Organizational Structure in regard to Product, Customer or Sales Structureand Management may look for the said change to be effected in all historical data posted in COPA. Its notfeasible to change individual document as number of records would be very high. This mass update ofrecords in COPA with structural change can be done using realignment in COPA.
This article displays the process of creation/maintenance of realignment and updating of historical records inCOPA with organizational structure change.

After creating realignment run, create request for realignment run

Under Select Condition, select and assign characteristics for which realignment is to be done.

After completing the select condition, we have to set the conversion rule. This is the setting up ofcharacteristics for which changes are be made for the selected condition assigned. If any particular value isbe replaced without making changes in master record, select the characteristics in conversion rule and pull itdown and enter the characteristic value that need to be replaced.
