An Event to Remember

GS62502 GS62236 These are just some of the extraordinary scenes that took place over the Diamond Jubilee bank holiday celebrations, during which people all across the UK showed the rest of the world the true meaning of the best of British! The momentous celebrations will undoubtedly be remembered as one of Britain’s pinnacle moments in history. But whilst the rest of the country recovers, the Queen is (keeping calm and) carrying on. Garden Parties- The Queen will give Garden Parties in the grounds of Buckingham Palace, Sandringham House, the Palace of Holyroodhouse and Balmoral Castle. The first Garden Parties took place on 22, 24 in May at Buckingham Palace. The Garden Parties will continue to take place at Sandringham House on 12 June, the Palace of Holyroodhouse on 3 July and Balmoral Castle on 7 August. Northern Ireland Visit – The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh are scheduled to visit Enniskillen and Belfast on 26 and 27 June as they continue their Diamond Jubilee Tour.

Limited Edition 5000 Pieces

Corgi Toy Spinner Refurbishment In line with Corgi’s rebrand at the beginning of the year and the introduction of new ranges such as Corgi Flight, P1811 Toy Spinner is being refurbished and refitted. The new stands will now carry Corgi’s newly packaged collectable Toy range comprising of Flight, Showcase and Super Haulers. Knowing that not all customers will stock all three ranges there are three stand options available:

Coming Soon: The complete Corgi Flight range will be in stock by 9th July.

• Option 1- Aviation (Flight & Showcase) This stand holds Flight and Showcase ranges only and fits the complete set of each. (Hooks = x25 long)

• Option 2 – 3+ Toys (Showcase and Super Haulers) This stand hold Showcase and Super Hauler ranges only and fits the complete set of each. (Hooks = x8 short & x17 long)

• Option 3 – All three (Flight, Showcase & Super Haulers) This stand holds all three ranges – 2 faces Showcase, 1 face Flight, 1 face Super Haulers. (Hooks = x21 long & x8 short)

Many customers will already have the spinner stand and will not require a complete new set, therefore Corgi will be offering a’ refurbishment’ on these stands. New graphics will be supplied as well as additional hooks. Depending on the chosen stand option the number of hooks required will differ to what has previously been supplied (x17 long hooks and x11 short hooks). Audi quattro Pearl Effect White, 1987, RHD/LHD

Corgi’s first split registration variant of the Audi quattro tooling is looking rather sleek and stylish in pearl effect white livery modeled here. Due for release in October VA12901A features right hand drive with UK registration and has a limited edition quota of 1350. VA12901B features left hand drive with German registration and has a highly limited quota of 750 pieces. Introduced in 1980 the Audi quattro was originally envisaged as a low volume motorsports homologation special. However, worldwide demand for a car that became a legend during its own production life was such that Audi continued to develop the car through the 1980s. They added ABS brakes in late 1983 and progressively more powerful engines until the quattro finally ceased production on 1st March 1991 after 11,452 examples had been built. The car modeled here in stunning, and expensive, Pearl Effect White (paint code ‘OA9’) benefited from Audi’s September 1984 onwards restyle which incorporated a sloping grille and headlamps, a colour coded boot-spoiler, black tinted rear lights and 8Jx15 Ronal alloy wheels.

The first Vanguards release of the new tooling in the form of VA12900 Audi quattro 20 valve Mk2 – Nordic Blue Metallic 1990 is due for release next month. The tooling will make its debut release in just a few weeks’ time as Jean Hunts formidable mars-red quattro in the cult TV series Ashes to Ashes.
