thheld on 11 January, 2014 at Maharaja Banquet, King E d w a r d C o u r t , 5 5 , Chowringhee Road, Kolkata. It was hosted by EIARA & the event was attended by 50 m e m b e r s o f E I A R A & AIACRA.

thank all the esteemed Members for electing me as the President of AIACRA for the term 2013-2015.

I also take this opportunity to put on record my deepest sense of appreciation of the work done by the outgoing President Mr. Jagmit Singh, during his tenure of 4 years from 2009 to 2013 as also our brilliant team of Executive Members of AIACRA.

NDAIACRA 42 ANNUAL GENERAL BODY MEETING ANDACREX INDIA-2014 PROMOTION NITE AT NEW DELHI

ndTHE 42 Annual General Body Meeting of AIACRA was held on September 12, 2 0 1 3 a t L a k s h m i p a t S i n g h a n i a Auditorium, PHD House, August Kranti Marg, Hauz Khas, New Delhi. Being supporting partner of ACREX India-2014, AIACRA also organized Promotion Nite for ACREX-2014 at the same venue. Eminent and senior most members of ISHRAE Committee were invited for the promotion nite along with members of AIACRA and other well-knows guests of the industry.

Mr. Jagmit Singh, President, AIACRA, chaired the meeting and welcomed all AIACRA EC, ISHRAE members, guests, sponsors and members for attending the

nd42 AGM & Promotion Nite of ACREX India-2014. Programme Convener of the event, Mr. Yash Pal Sandhu started the AGM proceedings by inviting senior members of AIACRA / ISHRAE and guests for lighting of lamp to herald an auspicious start of the AGM. A welcome speech was given by Mr. Vinod Kumar Rekhi, Past President, NIRATA and Special Invitee to the event. After that, Dr. R K Malhotra, Past President & Senior EC Member of AIACRA, addressed the House and gave an audio visual presentation on an Overview of the HVAC Industry which was greatly appreciated by all.

Mr. Jagmit Singh delivered the Presidential Address followed by a discussion on the Agenda for the AGM. In his speech, he highlighted and shared his own work experience and achievements of AIACRA during his tenure. He also requested to members present for participating in ACREX-2014. He thanked Mr. Navin Lamba, President, EIARA, Kolkata, Mr. Amit Goel, Mr. Sanjay Gupta, Mr. Sushil K Choudhury and al l the members of ISHRAE Committee, other AIACRA members and guests for attending the AIACRA AGM and ACREX India-2014 Promotion Nite. Mr. Jagmit Singh also specially thanked all sponsors for their support that made the event flourishing.

Ms. Anita, Executive Secretary, AIACRA, announced the election result of the President, AIACRA for the term 2013-2015. She informed the House that only

one valid nomination was received by Mr. Rajendra Mittal of M/s Mittal International, which was proposed by Mr. Jagmit Singh of M/s Freezeking Industries and Seconded by Dr. R K Malhotra o f M/s Sp irotech Heat Exchangers. Further, she informed that in the absence of any other candidate or nomination, Mr. Rajendra Mittal was elected as the new President of AIACRA for the term 2013-2015. All the members and guests congratulated Mr. Rajendra Mittal for his election as the new President of AIACRA with a round of applause.

Mr. Rajendra Mittal, as the incumbent President, AIACRA, addressed the House and thanked all members and guests for their warm welcome. He spoke on the future activities/programs and called upon all the members to be part of the ACREX-2014 as exhibitor / visitor for their own business growth opportunities.

T h e r e w e r e t w o a u d i o - v i s u a l presentations at the AGM, one was from ISHRAE-ACREX India-2014 and another from M/s Emerson Climate Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Sanjay Gupta, President, ISHRAE explained and updated the new developments about the ACREX exhibition for the benefit of the members present. Mr. Sanjay Kapoor from M/s Emerson Climate Technologies India Pvt. Ltd., made a presentation on t h e c o m m e r c i a l w a t e r h e a t i n g opportunities for HVAC Industry and all aspects of the subject.

A felicitation ceremony, as a token of appreciation, was held by the convener to honour the guests and all sponsors of the event namely ISHRAE-ACREX India-2014, BITZER India Pvt. PHD Chamber organized a National Conference on Cold Chain Financing on 11th December 2013 at PHD House. Dr Saumitra Chaudhuri, Member, Planning Commission was the Chief Guest and Mr Sanjeev Chopra, IAS, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture was the Guest of Honour.

AIACRA being Associate Partner of this National Conference invited all its members to attend. Mr. Rajendra Mittal, President AIACRA, Mr. Jagmit Singh, Imm. Past President, AIACRA also attended the conference along with EC members Mr. Vinod Kumar Rekhi & Mr. Swantratra Gagneja.

The main objective of this National Conference was the f inanc ia l challenges for the Indian Cold Chain Industry and also to discuss the existing Cold Chain Infrastructure & its related issues those are effecting the investment in this sector. At c o n f e r e n c e , t w o a u d i o v i s u a l presentations were made by Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Govt. of India (MOFPI) and M/s Emerson Climate Technologies on Digital Scroll Solution for Energy Efficient Cold Chain. The conference was attended by around 140 senior executives of the cold chain industry which includes members of AIACRA.

AIACRA is associated with ICE Expo from 2009 and its members participate continually with proud as exhibitors / visitors such as Freezeking Industries, Frick India, Infracool, Lloyd Electric & Engg., Blowtech Air Devices, Sea Bird Refrigeration, Standard Refrigeration, Manik Engineers, Subros etc.

The ICE 2013 was an excellent event which attracted more than 2000 trade visitors of the industry from countries like Netherlands, USA, Italy, Denmark, France and Nepal and also from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Punjab and West Bengal etc. The ICE -2013 expo was well received by the industry and realized its mission of serving as a platform for the stakeholders to share knowledge and technical knowhow.

newsletter.The Eastern region of India

comprises of nearly seven

states constituting a large

market for the white goods

industry. Ironically, this zone

has also been the slowest in

t e r m s o f g r o w t h w h e n

compared to the other regions

of India. However, there are

positive signals that this

region is on an upward growth

trend and we expect the sheer

size of this region to fuel

economic growth in the

coming years ahead.EIARA, the Eastern Region

association has consolidated

a n d g r o w n i t s m e m b e r

strength in the last couple of

years by incorporating new

members from various towns

& cities in the eastern region

and we wish to continue to

increase our membership

strength in the coming years.

Our AGM was held on the 11th

January 2014, and was well

attended by the members. The

interaction & the discussions

between the members and the

industry representatives were

fruitful and we hope to provide

our members of more such

opportunities to improve their

business relations.The AIACRA General Body

meeting was also held on the

same day in Kolkata, which
