PRESIDENT’S CORNER • First off, I hope everyone had a very Happy and

Safe 4th of July! In spite of all the craziness that is going on …we are still the greatest nation with the greatest opportunities for all!

• For our newer members, and some of our tenured members, we have a work day coming up on July 11th to get our range ready for our shoot on July 18 & 19. This is a good time to come out and get some of your work hours in, meet some other members and enjoy the camaraderie! Is it work? Oh Yeah! But we also have fun doing it and the more members that show up and help, the sooner we get done! Did you know that if you bring your kids or significant other to help, that their work counts toward your work hours! How great is that!

• I hope to see a lot of you at the 3-D / MAC shoot on July 18 & 19! Whether you volunteer to work or just come out and shoot, I look forward to putting a face to a name! See you there!

• Also , Ken Piktel is thinking about hosting a Night Shoot/ Pot Luck again this year, if there is enough participation. If you have never been to a night shoot , they are a lot of fun! In the past they have usually been held outside on the range, he is thinking about doing a black light shoot in the indoor range (like last year)! We also ask everyone to bring a dish to pass and a small fee that he charges to cover the meat, supplies and prizes, anything leftover is given to the club. Some people even camp at the range for this. So think about coming out for it! It’s fun! Ken’s info is posted later in the newsletter, please RSVP to him ASAP. ~Sincerely, Linda Piktel, President~

JUNE News Club voted to cancel our upcoming scheduled July LBL shoot due to a number of issues. Main issues were that only one of the 4 member clubs have held a 2020 LBL shoot plus we already have a July shoot scheduled on the prior weekend. Ken Piktel would like to know if club members have an interest to attend a fun, FAMILY NIGHT SHOOT/POTLUCK on Saturday, August 22nd. Please let Ken know before the August 1st meeting, by emailing him at stickshooter@wi.rr.com (or let the Corr. Secretary know at aufinch@hotmail.com). Final planning decision will be made at August meeting. Work day scheduled for Saturday, July 11th, 8am to prepare ranges for the following weekend’s 3D and MAC Qualifier shoot. Target set out for that shoot will occur on Friday, July 17th – watch the Facebook page for time details. Club contested the 2020 property tax assessment as being too high. Review revealed that an overassessment was made by the Village based on our 2017 permit to do work in the clubhouse (ceiling and electrical). The total value of the clubhouse on the permit was used as the value of the remodel work being undertaken. That made the assessed value about 123% higher than it should have been. The amount has been changed and will reduce our tax payment next year. Tree planting workday was held on Saturday, July 4th morning. Thanks to Linda Piktel, Ken Piktel, Tom Scott, Rich Adams, Jim Peters, and Mike Fortin!!! BOARD NEWS Next Board meeting will be before the August 5th club member meeting. Members may drop Board questions/concerns in the range lockbox or give to any officer/Board member. WORK HOURS We must document Forest Management (buckthorn, etc.) time and supplies, in order to receive any future Wisconsin DNR grant monies. Thank you! Still need work hours?? Help out at upcoming shoots, leagues, or on workdays!!
