Location
• Uranus is the 7th closest planet to the Sun.
• It is 1,784 million miles away from the Sun.
• Astronomers have very little knowledge because it is 3 planets away from Earth.
Composition
• Uranus is made up of hydrogen and helium.
• Methane gives Uranus the light blue color.
• Something else gives it the faint, light green color.
Unique Facts
• About 63 Earth’s could fit in Uranus.
• Uranus’s temperature is minus 357 degrees Fahrenheit.
• The revolution period is 84 years.
• No one can live on Uranus because it is completely made out of gas that people can’t breathe in.
• The rotation period is 17 hours and 14 minutes.
• Uranus rotates like a bowling ball.
• Uranus has 27 moons and 11 rings.
Previous Missions
• There has actually been only one mission to Uranus.
• The mission was by the Voyager 2.
• So that’s why astronomers only have a little bit of knowledge of Uranus.
Conclusion
• We have to keep exploring Uranus because we only have a little bit of knowledge of Uranus.
• We need to keep exploring Uranus because there is only one mission on it.
• We should still keep exploring Uranus because there is more to learn about it.

Unravel Uranus
Robot Exploration
• Our robot is called Uranus’s Unique Unraveler.
• It is made to get gas samples from Uranus to bring to Earth.
• The two simple machines are the wheel and axle, and the screw.
• We designed our robot by sketching it, labeling the parts, and building Uranus’s Unique Unraveler.
