The Austrian balloons:

The earliest recorded use of an unmanned aerial vehicle for war fighting occurred on August 22, 1849, when the Austrians attacked the Italian city of Venice with unmanned balloons loaded with explosives

Drones are further use in World War I, World War II and Cold War

In the 1980s, new attention was focused on aircraft propelled by solar power. Solar photovoltaic (PV) cells, are not very efficient, and the amount of power provided by the Sun over a unit area is relatively modest. A solar-powered aircraft must be lightly built to allow low-powered electric motors to get it off the ground.

U.S. domestic use

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency has experimented with several models of UAVs, and has begun purchasing a fleet of unarmed MQ-9 Reapers to survey the U.S. border with Mexico

On May 18, 2006, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued a certificate of authorization which will allow the M/RQ-1 and M/RQ-9 aircraft to be used within U.S. civilian airspace to search for survivors of disasters.

Advantages Disadvantages• Domestic drones violate

right to privacy • Some drones are lethal and

not just used for surveillance

• With drones being unmanned flying machines, less aviation jobs are needed

• Has successfully struck militants of Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups

• Helps detect forest fires • Monitor environmental data

(i.e. populations of animals) • Can seek missing children

and felons

Pakistan Role in Attacks Since 2004, the United States Government has attacked

hundreds of targets in northwest Pakistan using unmanned aerial vehicle (drones) controlled by the Central intelligence Agency's Special Activities Division. Most of these attacks are on targets in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas along the Afghan Border in Northwest Pakistan.

Pakistan's Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, has repeatedly demanded an end to the strikes, stating: "The use of drones is not only a continual violation of our territorial integrity but also detrimental to our resolve and efforts at eliminating terrorism from our country"

Effects on Pakistan

www.f3pro.blogspot.com

• Third leader of Al-Qaeda Atiyah Abd al-Rahman after death of Usama bin Laden in 2011 said only Pakistan is responsible for death of Usama because Pakistan support US in drones attacks.

• After this many terror attacks occur in Pakistan.• Due to these attacks economy of Pakistan

decrease because imports and exports become decrease.

• People start hating United States.
