Learning Outcome : 80% of the I /DD nurses will agree that they can identify the

risk factors associated with sexual status (abuse vs . health /safety) and can apply

treatment interventions within the medical support systems to promote healthy

sexual behaviors and relationships while protecting the dignity of Individuals

with I /DD .This activity has been submitted to the New Mexico Nurses Association Accredited Approver unite for approval to award contact hours.

NMNA AAU is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by The American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission onaccreditation. This activity has been submitted to the NM NASW for Social Workers and Counselors for approval to award contact hours.
