the problem
In current healthcare models, the main emphasis is on the patient, but most patients use the help of loved ones to assist them on their path to wellness. The debilitating effects of putting the needs of others before their own are often ignored.
Caregiver stress is the emotional and physical strain of caregiving. Individuals experiencing caregiver stress are often the most vulnerable
to a decline in their own health.

There are Over 4.5 million caregivers in Canada today. (13% of the population)
Over 44.4 million unpaid caregivers in the United States.

Bring your favorite blanket, mugs, foot stool, hand towel, card deck, etc. My Ride Join a group of friends and family of the participants and volunteer one day per week to drive a carpool of other patients to and from II Care. Help each other. Help yourself. II Talk Weekly discussion topics for group sessions including the patient and primary caregiver on how to tackle tough subjects. Learn how to begin and navigate through difficult conversations like how your Mom or Dad wishes to be memorialized.
