“I am grateful and honoured to receive Golf Canada Foundation’s Connor/Spafford Scholarship for the 2020-21 school year. I want to extend my greatest thanks to the Connor and Spafford families for their financial support, which allows me to pursue

higher education and play collegiate golf in the NAIA. Attending university in the United States presents financial challenges and this scholarship goes a long way to help offset the costs incurred by my family who are supporting me along the way.”

“I am sincerely appreciative to Golf Canada for selecting me as the recipient of the Marlene Streit Golf Scholarship. It is a tremendous honour to receive an award

named after a legendary golfer who I have admired my entire career. Ms. Streit set the standard of what it is meant to be an amateur golfer, balancing both successes on and off the course. The bar she set guides both male and female golfers across the world, myself included. I accept these funds with unending gratitude as they will allow me to continue to play the game I love and complete my legal degree

with a lessened financial burden.”

“I would like to thank Golf Canada and Golf Quebec for awarding me the Suzanne Beauregard Scholarship. Receiving this scholarship means a lot to me as this not only recognize my efforts in my

sport but also for my education. I have the unique chance to pursue golf in college, being able to practice and compete in the sport I love while getting a college degree. This has always been a

dream for me since I started playing golf. I began playing golf when I was 12 years old and I knew the first time I picked up a club, that I would love the game. I always loved school, I know school is an important aspect of life and a good path toward my future. Having the privilege to receive this kind of scholarship is for me a great recognition. It helps me realize that all the efforts you do on the course or in class, can pay eventually pay off and that you can be rewarded one way or the other. Knowing that this scholarship is from the Suzanne Beauregard foundation, a marvelous

person who dedicated her time to youth programs and a role model, is a huge honor. Growing up, seeing people investing their time and money towards the next generation is inspiring. I hope that

one day, I can be an inspiration or as generous as Mme Beauregard is.” - Alexandre Mercier
