DEFINITIONS:
Area + Catalogue Number A 4-letter area code plus a 4-digit catalogue number make up the course code, eg BIOL 1033. You can search for courses by using this code.
Class Number A class number is a unique number used to identify individual classes held during a specified study period. You can use class numbers to enrol, starting with the class number of the enrolment class. Both the enrolment class and related classes have class numbers.
Enrolment Class An Enrolment Class is the first class you enrol in for a particular course. This can be a lecture (LEC), tutorial (TUT), workshop (WSH), practical (PRA) or external (EXT). There may be multiple enrolment classes to choose between. All other classes will be related to the enrolment class and will display once you select your enrolment class.
Related Classes (Non-Enrol Classes)
Related classes are other components (i.e. a tutorial or practical) that make up the course. In some cases you may be automatically enrolled into a particular related class that is associated with the enrolment class you selected.
Auto enrol However, in some courses, once you select the enrolment class you are automatically enrolled (auto-enrol) in a related class (eg a particular tutorial or practical at a particular time). The class number will be listed in the Auto-enrol column.
External class For external classes click on the ‘Refer to timetable’ link. This number is the only enrolment class number you need to enter in ‘Manage my Enrolment’ when enrolling. External students do need to attend on campus intensive workshops at City East Campus in Adelaide.
Pre-requisite and co-requisite If a course has a pre-requisite, that pre-requisite must be completed beforehand. If a course has a co-requisite, that co-requisite must be studied concurrently or beforehand.

NOTES:
1. The table above shows the full list of courses to be taken by a student undertaking a Stage 1, or Stage 2 first semester, full-time load solely in this year of the program. Please do not enrol into both Stage 1 and Stage 2 unless you have a study plan indicating a combination (maximum load is 18 units per semester).
2. Students enrol in all their courses for both study periods (Study Period 2 & 5) at the BEGINNING of the year. Stage 2 students see Part 2 enrolment advice for the second semester courses of their program. In the event that a Stage 1 student is unsuccessful in some Study Period 2 courses, that student may continue with the Study Period 5 courses for which they have completed the pre-requisites, however both Stage 1 & Stage 2 students should check with the school: [email protected] for a revised study plan to enable correct enrolment.
3. Auto Enrol = A feature set up in the Class Schedule which automatically enrols the student in a related class (ie the student may enrol in one of a number of tutorials offered and when they enrol in the tutorial they are automatically enrolled in the lecture component and practical component if applicable)
4. Students enrolling into NURS 1033 Being a Health Professional, NURS1061 ELA1, NURS2024 Health of Older Adults and NURS2034 ELA2 will be allocated into on campus workshop groups.
5. Do you have a disability, medical or mental health condition that might affect your studies or placements in the Nursing program? For example, allergy to latex gloves, anxiety, depression, learning disability, diabetes, injury, other health condition, or short term surgical or medical condition.
Please contact a Disability Adviser at the Learning & Teaching Unit as soon as possible so that support arrangements can be negotiated. You may also wish to discuss program related issues such as progression and program requirements with your Program Director.
6. You can study part-time which means undertaking less than the load specified for full time status (less than 75%). Please make sure that you request a study plan to ensure you undertake courses in an order that fulfils pre-requisites.
(Full-time load - The standard annual full-time load is 36 units or 1.0 EFTSL (Equivalent Full-Time Student Load). A student undertaking at least 75% of a
full-time load for the academic year is full-time for that year. A student who is undertaking at least 75% of a full-time load, for either the first half or
second half of the year, will be full-time for that half year).
