the substantial development in biology and chemistry, and
offers internationally recognized, high-quality training in
general medicine, dentistry and pharmacy at the graduate
level, biotechnology at the master level and pharmacological
studies, theoretical clinical and multidisciplinary medical
sciences at the doctoral level.
The English Program in General Medicine was implemented
in 1984, the first medical education program of its kind in
Central Europe. In the academic year 2005 the English
Program in Dentistry, and in the academic year 2008 the

students come from over 60 countries.
The first class graduated in 1990 and up to
September 2016, 868 successful graduates
received the diploma of a Medical Doctor (M.D.)
