Established by Dr Pat Farry to address student issues related to rural health
•Medicine•Physiotherapy•Pharmacy•Dentistry•Nursing
Our goals:
1)Promote opportunities in rural health and assist students interested in rural health into professional programmes- visits to rural secondary schools and mentoring
2) Provide information to students in health professional courses about rural health
- rural health week- information on voluntary bonding and
rural hospital programmes/GP training- meetings with people working rurally
3) Expose interested students to rural health- skills weekends- hospital visits (road trips)- rural health week
4) Provide a social club with connections to students in other health professional courses
