On the open day

Make your way to an information point, show your QR code to register and collect a free tote bag. You can register at any time throughout the day. Information points are marked on the Open Day Event Map.

Come prepared. Bring your water bottle to refill at water stations. Remember your hot cup too - we charge a 20p levy on disposable hot drink cups but you can save 20p on a hot drink if you use a refillable cup.

Please also wear comfortable shoes.

Take time to talk to our student ambassadors – they’ll be in blue t-shirts and will be happy to tell you all about student life at Nottingham.

Explore our campuses and find the most interesting spots (pages 16 and 17). Make the most of our free shuttle bus services too (pages 8 and 9).

If travelling by car, there is free parking on University Park and Sutton Bonington Campuses. There is blue badge parking and limited pay and display parking on Jubilee Campus.

Travelling to Nottingham

■ For University Park and Jubilee Campuses, book a train to Nottingham railway station.

■ For Sutton Bonington Campus, book a train to Loughborough railway station.

Staff and students in blue t-shirts will be at both train stations to direct you towards the free shuttle buses to the campuses. See pages 8 and 9 for times.

From Nottingham railway station, you can also take the Toton Lane tram to reach University Park Campus South entrance.

By trainTram

The University area of the city is easy to reach using the Nottingham tram network and this can help you avoid traffic queues on the day. Toton Lane park and ride is close to the M1 and the tram runs directly to University Park Campus. Alight at ‘University of Nottingham’.

You can purchase a group ticket for £5 for unlimited city travel as well, or return tram travel costs just £2 with an ‘event ticket’. Have your open day booking confirmation ready for checking on board the tram as proof that you will be attending this event.

By park and ride

Due to parking restrictions, all visitors to University Park and Jubilee Campuses should travel to University Park Campus.

By car to University Park and Jubilee Campuses

Car parking Free parking (including parking for blue badge holders), is available at University Park Campus. Blue badge holders are also able to park at Jubilee Campus, which is very close to University Park. Free shuttle buses run between these two campuses all day, and it is only a 15-minute walk between them. When you arrive on campus, security staff will direct you to the nearest available parking.

For designated blue badge car parking, please ask our security staff on arrival and they will direct you.

How can I get back to the train station at the end of the day? Free shuttle buses are available from all campuses, and you can also take the tram from University Park Campus directly to the train station.

AccommodationYour halls, your options

Our halls of residence are so much more than

just a place to live.

They’re the perfect base for exploring Nottingham – which is why we prioritise your health and

happiness, safety and security.

Which location is your perfect match?Across all three campuses, we have accommodation options either on campus, or in the surrounding area.

When making your decision, think about which campus you will be studying at, whether you want catered or self-catered accommodation, and then narrow down your search by taking the time to visit the different halls.

You might want to live closer to the sports centre, nearer to the buildings in which you will study, or nearer the city centre. With a host of excellent options, you can choose your perfect location.

Which room is right for you?There are lots of different room types to choose from – whatever your budget and preferences, we’ll help you find a room that suits you.

We have a mix of shared bathroom facilities, en-suites, and studios. We also have a large selection of room types with either single or three-quarter beds. All self-catered rooms within flats have a shared kitchen and dining area as well.

For something more private you can opt for a studio – a completely self-contained study bedroom with kitchen facilities and a separate en-suite.

Much more than a room Our Student Service Centres provide our students with guidance, advice and a range of support services such as finance, wellbeing, counselling, and more. You can always see them if you need any help or advice.

All accommodation sites have a security presence 24-hours a day so you can sleep soundly knowing that if you ever need help, they’re only a phone call away.

On top of that, all halls have a management team available to fulfill your house-keeping, maintenance and delivery needs.

Contract information and fees If you choose to live in catered halls then you have the choice of a 31-week or 39-week contract. If you would like to be self-catered then we have 44-week or 51-week contracts available.

Discover your new home There’s no need to sign up for an accommodation tour – all our undergraduate halls on University Park and Jubilee Campuses are open for viewing, so just turn up to visit at a time that suits you, between 10am and 5pm, with last viewings at 4.30pm. The show flat at Sutton Bonington will be open from 9.30am-2.30pm. Staff and students will be there when you arrive to answer any questions, and tell you more about life in halls. There’s also a stand at the Student Experience Exhibition (page 14).

At all our halls you’ll be able to join an optional introduction to life in halls. Please see the Open Day Event Map for locations of all our halls, including the self-catered accommodation sites open on the day.
