Our Name: Chi Alpha comes from 2 Corinthians5:20 which calls us to be Christ’s Ambassadors to reacha lost world. This verse contains the phrase "christou apostoloi," meaning "Christ's sent ones," to represent who we are. The Greek letters Chi (X) and Alpha (A) are the initials of this phrase.

Chi Alpha is represented on over 250 college campuses worldwide and is affiliated with the Assemblies of God, but we are open to all denominations. We seek to introduce all college students to an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ.

Like many other missions organizations, Chi Alpha workers depend upon the gifts of friends and churches who have a heart to reach students on campus.
