Your manual is divided into two parts: set-up instruc-tionsand device codes. You will need your manual to set upyour new LITTLE EASY so please be sure to keep it.
Your LITTLE EASY needs two new AAA/LR03 alkalinebatteries.
Your LITTLE EASY can operate three devices: aTelevision, a Video and a Second Television or VideoRecorder.
Features and Functions
Key Function
LED The LED (Light Emitting Diode) flashesred to show the remote is working.
Power The Power key controls the samefunction as it did on your originalremote.
MAGIC KeyThe MAGIC key is used to set up your LITTLE EASY and to access specialfunctions.
Device KeysThe TV, VCR and AUX keys select thehome entertainment device to becontrolled. For example pressing theTV key allows the remote to controlthe functions of your Television, afterpressing VCR you can operate yourVideo Cassette Recorder and the AUXkey operates a second Television orVideo Recorder.

Number KeysThe Number keys (0-9, 10) providefunctions just like your originalremote, such as direct accessprogramme selection. If your originalremote uses one/two digit inputswitching (-/-- symbol), this functioncan be obtained by pressing the -/--key, which is the same as the 10 key.
Volume, ProgrammeThe Volume and Programme keys controlthe most frequently used functions ofyour Television. They operate just asthose on your original remote.
ScanThe Scan key allows you to easilybrowse through the programmes onyour Television and Video Recorder.See page 13 for more information.
MuteThe Mute key operates the samefunction as it did on your originalremote.
Video Recorder KeysAfter pressing the VCR key, the VideoRecorder keys operate the functions ofyour Video Recorder. To prevent accidentalrecording, the Record key must bepressed twice to start recording.
Teletext KeysAfter pressing the TV key, the top rowof the Video Recorder keys are used tooperate the main teletext functions.The symbols above the keys are forteletext. The Text keys are used toaccess the teletext functions of yourTelevision. Of course, your Televisionmust be teletext capable. For anexplanation of the teletext symbols,please refer to page 15 of this manual.For a detailed explanation on howteletext works, please refer to themanual of your television set.

Installing the Batteries
Your LITTLE EASY needs two new AAA/LR03 alkalinebatteries.
Remove the battery coverfrom the back of your LITTLEEASY.
Match the batteries to the +and - marks inside thebattery case, then insert thebatteries.
Press the battery cover backinto place.

Note: In order to avoid having to reprogramme yourLittle Easy after you remove the batteries, you willneed to insert new batteries within 3 minutes. Alsoit is best that you do not use rechargable batteries.
Setting Up Your Device
To set up the LITTLE EASY for your Television:
Press and release your LITTLEEASY’s TV key. Then pressand hold down the MAGICkey until the LITTLE EASY’sred light blinks twice. (Thelight will blink once and thentwice.)
Enter your three-digit TVcode using the number keys.The red light will blink twice.
Now, aim your LITTLE EASYat your Television and pressPOWER. If your Televisionswitches off, your LITTLEEASY is ready to run yourTelevision.
Write your code in the three boxes on page 22, forquick, easy reference.
To control your Television, press TV first.

The AUX Key: Setting Upa Second Television or Video
The AUX key on your LITTLE EASY can be used tocontrol a second Television or Video Recorder.
To set up the AUX key to control a second TV:
Press and hold down theMAGIC key until the redlight blinks twice. (The lightwill blink once and thentwice.)
Press 9 9 2 TV AUX.
Press and release your LITTLEEASY’s AUX key. Then pressand hold down theMAGIC key until the LITTLEEASY’s red light blinks twice.

The Search MethodIf your Television or Video Recorder does not respondto the LITTLE EASY after you have tried all the codeslisted for your brand, try the Search Method. TheSearch Method may also work if your brand is notlisted at all.
Let’s say you cannot get your LITTLE EASY to controlyour Television:
Switch your Television on.
Press the TV key on your LITTLEEASY.
Aim your LITTLE EASY at yourTelevision. Press and holddown MAGIC until the LITTLEEASY’s red light blinks twice.Then, press 9 9 1. The red lightwill blink twice.
Now, alternate between TV andPOWER, over and over, untilyour Television turns off. Youmay have to press these keysmany times, so please bepatient. It could take up to 5minutes. Remember to keeppointing your LITTLE EASY atyour Television when you pressthe POWER and TV keys.
When your Television turns off,press MAGIC. Don’t forget,press MAGIC as soon as your
Television turns off. Now your LITTLE EASY is ready torun your Television.
To search for the code for your Video Recorder, followthe instructions above, only press the VCR key duringsteps 2 and 4.

Getting Codes from theLITTLE EASY
Even if you have used the Search Method, it is handyto know your Television or Video code for futurereference. It’s easy to get your code after you have setup the Little Easy with your Television or Video.
To get your Television code:
Press and hold MAGICuntil the LITTLE EASY’s redlight blinks twice. Press 9 9 0. The red light willblink twice.
For the first digit of yourthree-digit code, press 1 andcount the red blinks. If thereare no blinks, the digit is“0”.
For the second digit, press 2and count the red blinks.
For the third digit, press 3and count the red blinks.Now you have your three-digit code.
For your Video, follow the same steps above, onlypress VCR instead of TV.
Make sure you write your Television code in the threeboxes on page 22.

Changing the Device Keys
If you want, you can change any of the device keys(TV, VCR or AUX) to operate another type of device.The chart below lists how to change the keys and toset up that device:

The Scan Key
Your LITTLE EASY comes with a special Scan key whichlets you go through every programme available onyour Television or Video Recorder.
For example, to scan through the programmes on yourTelevision:
Aim the LITTLE EASY at yourTelevision and press TV, thenScan. You will automaticallymove through all theprogrammes available onyour Television stopping ateach programme for aboutthree seconds. Remember,the LITTLE EASY mustremain aimed at yourTelevision the entire timeyou are using Scan.
When you find a programme that you wouldlike to watch, simply press the Scan key again tostop the Scan feature.
To use Scan with your Video Recorder, simply pressVCR then Scan. To use Scan with the AUX key, pressAUX then Scan.

Colour & Brightness
Depending on the functions of your original remotecontrol, the LITTLE EASY can operate the colour andbrightness settings of your Television.
To adjust the colour:
Press MAGIC followed by Volume+(for colour up) or Volume- (for colourdown).
To adjust the brightness:
Press MAGIC followed byProgramme+ (for brightness up) orProgramme- (for brightness down).
Punch-Through
You may be able to use some features of yourTelevision and Video Recorder at the same time. Ifyou’re watching a programme on your Video, you canadjust the volume (a TV function) without firstpressing the TV key. The chart below lists some of thepossibilities:

More on Teletext
The LITTLE EASY is designed to operate the basicfunctions of teletext (text on, text off and mix).
Symbol Title Description
TEXT Puts the Television in the teletext mode
TV Switches the Television back to regular viewing mode. On some Televisions, this may be done by pressing the TEXT key several times.
MIX Shows both teletext and regular Television simultaneously. Also used for subtitling. On some Televisions this function is accessed by pressing the TEXT key twice.

Note: For a more detailed explanation of teletext,please refer to the manual of your Television.Remember, different Televisions control teletextfeatures in different ways. Not all of the teletextfunctions may be available for your particular model.
Sleeptimer
Sleeptimer is a feature which comes built intomany TVs. It allows you to set your device to turnoff within a certain amount of time. This featurecomes in handy if, for example, you enjoy fallingasleep with your television on.
With the ONE FOR ALL, there are two ways touse the sleeptimer. If your TV came with thisfeature built in, follow the instructions “DeviceSleeptimer” below. If your device did not comewith this feature, follow the instructions “ONEFOR ALL Sleeptimer”.
Device SleeptimerIf your TV has a “Sleeptimer” function built in,you can access this function with your ONE FORALL remote. To do so:
Make sure your TV is switched on.
Press the TV key.
Point the ONE FOR ALL atyour TV and press and releaseMAGIC then press POWER.You should see theSleeptimer activate on yourTV screen. To increase the
timer, simply press MAGIC then POWER until thetimer gets to the desired time.
To deactivate the Sleeptimer, repeat steps 1-3above. During step 3, continue pressing Magicthen Power until the timer indicates zerominutes.

The ONE FOR ALL SleeptimerYour ONE FOR ALL remote comes with aninternal Sleeptimer function for those deviceswhich did not come standard with this function.To use the ONE FOR ALL Sleeptimer:

Press the TV key.
Then, press and holdMAGIC until the red lightblinks twice. Press 970. Thered light will blink twiceagain. It is only necessary toperform steps 1 and 2 once.Now to set the timer,continue with the stepsbelow.
Setting the ONE FOR ALL Sleeptimer:
It is possible to set the timer for 15, 30, 45 or 60minutes. To do this, first make sure your TV isswitched on. Then,
Press and release MAGIC then POWER. The redlight will blink once whichindicates the timer is set for 15minutes. To increase the timer,simply press POWER again (thismust be done within 5seconds.). The light will blinktwice indicating the timer is setfor 30 minutes (2x 15). You canpress POWER a maximum offour times which will set thetimer to 60 minutes.

Once you have set the timer tothe desired time, set your ONEFOR ALL remote down, pointingit at your device. When theprogrammed amount of time haselapsed, the ONE FOR ALL willsend the command for Power,hence turning off your device.

Preventing Accidental CodeChanges
To prevent the accidental changing of codes in theLITTLE EASY (for instance by young children), it ispossible to lock in the code you have set up:
Please remember, this is an optional feature andshould only be used after you have found all thecode(s) which operate your device(s) correctly andhave set up your LITTLE EASY exactly the way youwant it.
