NCUK University Admission and Services If you pass your qualification you are guaranteed a place at one of the NCUK Guaranteed Universities. Your NCUK qualification guarantees you two conditional offers and one guaranteed place at university. Even if you do not get your expected grades, the NCUK guarantee means we will find you an alternative offer based on your grades and area of interest via the NCUK Clearing Service. Some students receive over 15 offers at the same time as receiving their results.

NCUK Prizes and University ScholarshipsNCUK, in collaboration with NCUK universities and the Northern Consortium Charity, is pleased to award a wide-range of NCUK Prizes and attractive university scholarships.

NCUK PrizesEach year, NCUK awards prizes to students with the best academic results from the NCUK global network. The annual prize fund exceeds £50,000 and individual prizes range from £50 to £1,000. NCUK hosts an annual Prize Award Ceremony in the UK during November to showcase the achievements of the top students.

NCUK University ScholarshipsNCUK universities offer a wide-range of attractive scholarship packages for NCUK students on an range of degree subjects. Many of the scholarships are exclusive to NCUK and some are automatically awarded.

What are the Entry Requirements?Students are normally 17 years old, completed 12 years of education and have a recognised English Language qualification such as IELTS 5.0, TOEFL 5.0 or have completed the NCUK Password test.

Assessments are quality-assured by NCUK. The certifcate is awarded by NCUK.

How will I be assessed?All assessments are set by a team of NCUK subject experts, comprising of UK university staff and senior teaching staff.

How long does it take to complete?The IFY is usually completed following the Standard Programme (9 months), however there may also be Accelerated Programmes (6 months) and Extended Programmes (12 months) options available, depending on the Study Centre. Please contact your nearest NCUK Study Centre to check which options are available for you and for the latest fees.

What is the NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY)?Designed by our university partners exclusively for international students, the NCUK International Foundation Year combines academic modules, study skills and English language training to provide a pathway to undergraduate degree courses at leading universities. Successful completion of the NCUK International Foundation Year guarantees you a place at an NCUK Guaranteed University. Universities worldwide and UK NARIC (National Academic Recognition Information Centre) formally recognises the NCUK International Foundation Year as a comparable level to GCE A Level, Australian high school (SSCE), Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE), and American high school (AP) qualifications.

* In most cases, students are not required to take an IELTS exam for visa purposes.
