resources. Facilitate decision-making, planning, and action steps to ensure progress on the goals. Provide leadership and support to a neighborhood-based advisory council who will guide decision-making and

focus of the work under the overall goals and strategy. Foster innovation, ongoing learning, and creativity among the partners and advisory council by encouraging new

ways of thinking, working, sharing best practices, and establishing a safe environment for risk-taking. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning by identifying emerging strategies and opportunities and then

communicating them to the partners and advisory council. Maintain an environment of constant and open communications with and among all partners.

Evaluation Establish an environment of shared accountability by assuring that reliable data are used by all partners through

the collaboration’s work and decision-making. Evaluate and measure achievements through an analytical process that defines the desired outcome (as defined

by the partners and United Way), incorporates community needs and asset information, and provides for continuous accountability and learning.

Achieve and maintain a strong understanding of outcome measurement principles and critical industry trends, instruments, and developments.

Provide technical assistance to partners related to measurement and the use of data.

Resource Development & Communications Develop/support the development of grant/funding proposals that align with United Way’s strategic direction. Work collaboratively with internal team members to communicate the impact of United Way’s initiatives.

Other Represents United Way in various human service collaborations, committees, and activities. Assists in other community building initiatives, other special projects or initiatives and other duties assigned.

Master Information and Data: Seeks information to remain informed and develop a reasonable level of expertise about issues related to area of responsibility.

Understands how to interpret information to assess its meaning and application. Is able to use to data to make good decisions and help others to make informed decisions based on the data and the context of the data.

Job Relationships: Staff, volunteers, agency and community organization personnel, funders, donors, and public.

Job Requirements:Education: Bachelor’s degreeSkills: Community engagement and/or community organizing. Consensus building. Well-developed technical and analytical skills related to human services planning and evaluation. Ability to present information and data in written, electronic and oral forms. Proven track record in teaming with staff, volunteers and a diverse group of stakeholders. Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks. Demonstrated experience and skills in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders. Ability to work independently. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and able to convey key information to staff in an organized

and timely manner.Experience: Three+ years of relevant experience in positions focused on community engagement, coordinating

projects/activities with diverse constituents, and delivering measurable results Understanding and application of program evaluation/outcome measurement Experience working with and supporting volunteers Proficiency with MS Office products, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
