COMPENSATIONS

The stipend varies from 10 to 18 USD per hour. Allowing you to earn from 1,500 - 2,500 USD. The host company is required to assign you a minimum of 32 working hours per week. In case you are required to work overtime, it will be paid according to the local laws.
Housing is not provided by the host company. You will be able to cover the cost with your stipend.
Meals are provided during work shift. If you have food allergies or restrictions, please notice that you may need to cook your own food or allocate a budget for it. Host companies will not provide special meals.
Compensations vary depending on the host company, type of vacancy, and profile.
J-1 visa holders are deemed as “nonresident aliens” during their stay and are typically required to pay federal, state and local taxes. This can be in average 10% of the salary.
At the end of your internship, you are subject to fill out a tax return, where you can get back between 500 - 2,000 USD depending on your case. We will alsosupport you with this process.

Average working hours can be up to 48
hours per week with one day off (variable
and normally during weekdays)
Positions are customer - service
oriented and operational positions.
Placement is guaranteed within the 12
weeks following the placement starting
date. It is estimated a process of 16 weeks
in total, 12 weeks for placement and 4
weeks for the visa process.
Candidate must adapt to the time
requested for an interview with the host
company and show up to all interviews
requested.
The stipend and compensations are
defined by the Host Company in the internship offer.
Candidate must be flexible to be
located in any of the cities available in
the program.
Two candidates can be placed in the
same city, but not in the same company.
Food and Beverage positions might be
hourly wage + tips. At the end of the
month the income is an average of 10-12
USD per hour including tips.
The candidate will be responsible for
arranging his/her own accommodation.
Worldwide Internships can assist in the
process, but is not part of the program.

Be an undergraduate university student or have
graduated less than 12 months ago.
In case you graduated more than 12 months ago,
you will need to present:
Students on Diploma or Technical degrees are not
accepted.
Studies must be related to the internship position
you are applying for (a minimum of 5 courses
must be directly related).
Conversational level of English
Aged between 18 - 27 years old
Be able to present for visa application:

Experience must be on a full-time
job/internship. The 1-year experience can be
accumulated through different companies.

FAQs:
Visa application must be done outside
