Learning Goals:

Students will understand that what they learn in art helps prepare them for the complex world in which they live.

Students will create art that integrates skills required in a variety of content areas.

Objectives: 1. Students will experiment with various materials, tools, techniques, and processes to achieve a variety of results in two- and/or three-

dimensional artworks. 2. Students will plan and produce art through ongoing practice of skills and techniques. 3. Students will demonstrate the ability to recall art procedures and focus on art processes through to the end of production. 4. Students will identify differences between artworks and utilitarian objects. 5. Students will identify the work of local artists to become familiar with art-making careers. 6. Students will work purposefully to complete personal works of art in a timely manner, demonstrating development of 21st-century

skills.
