Nitrogen fixing bacteria take unusable nitrogen and makes it usable for plants – animals then get this usable nitrogen by eating plants and other animals!

Legumes are peas, beans and clover

Denitrifying bacteria changes Nitrates (usable form) back into nitrogen and releases it into the atmosphere!
