holiday in the USA is Christmas. It’s on the 25th of December.

People think Christmas is the wonderful time of the year. They usually do some Christmas shopping before Christmas Day. They buy many holiday foods: sweets, biscuits,cakes, juice, turkeys... They eat these foods on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. Many people also buy a Christmas tree and decorate it with colourful lights,lovely toys, beautiful stars. They put the Christmas presents under the Christmas tree.

Children get very excited because they can get the presents at Christmas. Small children think their presents are from Father Christmas. When they go to bed on the night before Christmas, they put a stocking beside their beds. They get up early on Christmas morning. Because they can find the nice presents in their stockings. Of course, their presents are from their parents. At Christmas, the families and friends meet together. They have big Christmas parties at home.At the parties, they eat turkeys, fruits cakes and drink some juice. They usually give presents to each other, play party games and watch TV about Christmas.
