Like a car, you can open it up and see what’s
inside that makes it work

CPU: microprocessor able to carry out
calculations
Motherboard: the foundation for all the other
components
Sound and graphics cards: enable your
computer to play sounds and display graphics
Storage drives: hard drive, solid state (no
moving parts), optical storage (CD/DVD ROM)
Memory: ROM (read only) and RAM (which the
computer can write to)
With a car, you can add parts to make it look better or go faster….
