14.1 Gift-giving
A. Look at these gifts. Are they suitable for a business client in your country? Why?
B. Read this article about gift giving, then match each paragraph with one of the cultures below:

14.2 Planning a free day
A. You and a colleague are in Budapest on business and have a free day before you fly home. In pairs, look at this city guide and find two things you would both like to do.

C. Study the ways of asking questions on p.81.

Practise asking and answering these questions with a partner. Then change partners and answer the same questions about a city you know.
D. Work in small groups. Look at the headings in A again. Make a similar guide about the place you're learning English in.
14.3 Eating outA. Discuss these questions with a partner:
What time do you arrange a business lunch for?
How long does it last?
Do you discuss business during the meal? If so, when?
B Listen to a woman talking about a business lunch she went to in Spain.
What time was the lunch? How long did it last? Did they discuss business during the meal?
C. Look at the menu on p.83. What would you like to eat?
Look at the menu again. How many different ways of cooking food can you find?
D. What are some specialities from your region or country? Explain them to a partner. You can use the expressions on p.83 to help you.
