Answer: There are no Quality Acceptance Documents required. However we need to make sure that the markers are from the QPL Approved Product List.

Non-Field Tested Materials Acceptance Guide Problem 14-2Question: In section 00520, under Driven Piles, what Quality Acceptance Documents are required Steel Piles? Answer: The Contractor needs to provide a Test Results Certificate from the manufacturer and Certificate of Materials Origin to the Project Manager’s Office. ODOT will provide a Lab Report and the Inspector will provide a Field Inspection Report.

Try not to incorporate Materials until all quality documents have been submitted and approved

– Remember: Materials will be subject to acceptance testing if the Engineer so elects.

– The Engineer may reject damaged or non-Specification Materials regardless of the Materials Conformance Documents furnished.

Where should we start?

First we need to find out what Bid Item 0440 is. Start in the Specials under the Bid Item Schedule:

0440 Subgrade Geotextile. The specification number is Section 00350-Geosynthetic

Installation.

With the Section Number, we can look in the NTMAG.
