间接引语 ---Indirect Speech 转述他人说的话时，可以用直接引语和间

接引语两种方式 直接引语： He said, “My head aches and I fe

el very sick.” 间接引语： He said that his head ached and

he felt very sick.

间接引语规则 如果在直接引语中，谓语动词、系动词和

情态动词是一般现在时，在间接引语中，要用一般过去时。

am/is - was are-were have/has-had can/can’t-could/couldn’t do-did don’t/doesn’t-didn’t

间接引语规则 如果在直接引语中，谓语动词、系动词和

情态动词是一般过去时或现在完成时，在间接引语中，要用过去完成时。

Was-had been didn’t eat- hadn’t eaten “I was ill on the flight,” he said. He said he had been ill on the flight.

间接引语在结构上是动词 say, tell, ask 等的宾语。宾语由句子承担时，称为宾语从句。

宾语从句由 that 引导时 that 可以省略。 The passenger told me (that) she was pregnant. He said (that) his head ached.
