All plants listed in this brochure can be seen in Monmouth County; however, not all are visible year round in every park location.
How it works:• Visit the seven parks listed in this brochure from April 15-December 31, 2019.
• Follow the instructions to locate the Rockin’ the Trails post in each park.
• View the plant attached to the post and write the name in the space provided.
• Mail your completed brochure to Dorbrook Recreation Area and receive a small prize.
• OR, bring your completed brochure to the Dorbrook Recreation Area Visitor Center to receive a small prize in person.
• Participation is free and you may complete the hunt at your own pace.
• Please submit your completed brochure by December 31, 2019.
Bumble bees are some of our most important pollinators. Bumble around from park to park, searching for depictions of Monmouth County’s native plants attached to each Rockin’ the Trails post. See if you can find the “hidden native plants” within the seven parks featured that a bumble bee may or may not visit to find nectar. Find its name and write it in the in space provided.
