It is grounded in the pillars of the Immaculata Way of Life and helps students to develop our core values. Uniforms are mandatory for all students in Kindergarten through Grade 8, whether attending school in person or virtually. The uniform policy is strictly enforced. Purchasing Uniforms Uniforms should be purchased from the list of approved items at Lands’ End or FlynnO’Hara. Alternate uniform styles sold through these or other retailers are NOT permitted, even if they are the same plaid or colors. Gently-used uniforms are also available through the school’s uniform resale. See the Friday newsletter for sale dates or contact the main office. Daily Appearance Uniforms should fit properly–no oversized or too-tight/short tops or bottoms. Shorts, skirts, and jumpers must be no shorter than 3” above the knee. Uniform bottoms may not be rolled at the waist or bottom. Shirts must be tucked in at all times. Black or white athletic shoes with black or white laces or Velcro or brown or black dress shoes (loafers, Mary Janes, oxfords) are permitted. All shoes must have closed toes and heels (no slip-ons). Shoes may NOT have colorful logos, soles, laces, or other details. Sandals, boots, or high heels of any kind are not permitted. Shoe laces must be tied at all times. Outerwear such as coats and hoodies may NOT be worn inside during the school day. Only official Immaculata embroidered sweaters, sweatshirts, and fleece jackets may be worn indoors. Long-sleeved shirts under short-sleeved uniform shirts are not allowed. Students should wear the uniform long- sleeved polo or outerwear for warmth. Makeup, colored lip gloss, and colored nail polish are NOT permitted. Jewelry should be limited to one watch, one ring, and a simple cross or holy medal on a thin silver or gold chain. Watches with a beeping device should be silenced during the school day. Girls may wear only one pair of stud earrings (one in each ear). Boys are not permitted to wear earrings. than 3” above the knee) must be worn with a white Peter Pan collar blouse.

• For modesty, navy blue bike shorts, ankle-length leggings, or opaque tights must be worn under the jumper, with appropriately accompanying navy blue knee socks or white ankle socks.

Intermediate School (Grade 3-5) • The Hunter/Classic Navy plaid jumper (no shorter

than 3” above the knee) may be worn with a white Peter Pan collar blouse.

• The Hunter/Classic Navy plaid skirt or skort (no shorter than 3” above the knee) or khaki pants or shorts may be worn with a green polo embroidered with the Immaculata logo. Shorts may not be worn December 1-March 1.

• For modesty, navy blue bike shorts, ankle-length leggings, or opaque tights must be worn under the jumper and skirt. Appropriately accompanying navy blue knee socks or white ankle socks should be worn with the jumper, skirt, and skort.

Middle School (Grades 6-8)• The Hunter/Classic Navy plaid skirt or skort (no

shorter than 3” above the knee) or khaki pants or shorts may be worn with a navy blue polo embroidered with the Immaculata logo. Shorts may not be worn December 1-March 1.

• For modesty, navy blue bike shorts, ankle-length leggings, or opaque tights must be worn under the skirt. Appropriately accompanying navy blue knee socks or white ankle socks should be worn with the skirt and skort.

• Black or white athletic shoes with black or white laces or Velcro or black or brown dress shoes are permitted. All shoes must have closed toes. Shoes may NOT have colorful logos, soles, laces, or other details.

sweatshirts, or fleece jackets with the embroidered Immaculata logo are the only outerwear items allowed to be worn inside.

Coats and non-uniform sweaters and sweatshirts are not allowed to be worn indoors during school hours.

All Grades (Kindergarten-Grade 8)• A gray shirt with Immaculata PE logo or Eagles logo must be worn on PE days with navy or black shorts (no shorter than 3” above knee) or navy blue sweatpants with Immaculata logo. No yoga pants, leggings, or jeggings. Shorts may be purchased through Lands’s End, FlyynO’Hara or our Athletic store.

• Navy blue crew neck sweatshirt with embroidered Immaculata logo may be worn for warmth.

• White, black, or spirit socks must be worn with white or black athletic shoes. NO colorful logos, soles, laces.

Shorts may not be worn December 1-March 1.

All Grades (PreK-Grade 8)• Spiritwear shirts and other ICS-branded items may

be worn with appropriate bottoms on Spiritwear Days. Daily Appearance guidelines for accessories, hair, makeup, and length and fit of clothing apply (page 1).

• Students may dress out-of-uniform on their birthdays (or half-birthdays for summer birthdays) and for other specified occassions. Daily Appearance guidelines for accessories, hair, makeup, and length and fit of clothing apply (page 1).

The following may NOT be worn on dress down days: tank tops, midriff tops, mini-skirts, leggings, jeggings, ripped jeans, short shorts, flip-flops, slides, and heels. Any questions regrding attire should be directed
