Rack Hat™ Modular Cold/Hot Aisle Isolation System The Rack Hat™ system consists of 4 parts:

1. Aluminum Support Bar 2. Aluminum Bar Splicer 3. Drop Down Material 4. Ceiling attachment system

Aluminum Track Splicer The aluminum bar splicer attaches one aluminum bar to another. Order one splicer to attach two aluminum bars. Drop Down Material There is two drop down material types:

1. Vinyl 2. FM approved rigid

Fire Resistant Vinyl The fire resistant vinyl is an Electro Static Resistant Material that is clear. It can easily be modified to any rack height. It comes in drop down lengths that can go from floor to ceiling. The drop down length maximum is 160”. Each vinyl curtain can overlap onto another so as to create one continuous sheet.

SubZero Engineering Aisle End Door™. The SubZero aisle end door is a first of its kind, legacy data center door that simply connects to the end of a row of cabinets. This sturdy good-looking door attaches to the raised floor and snaps onto the ends of the cabinets. Easy to install comes fully assembled.

The Vinyl also comes in a strip door. The strip doors can be positioned either at the end of the aisle or along the sides for gaps between cabinets.

FM Approved Rigid Material The Rigid material has a glass like appearance and feel.

The Cube™ Cable Cut Out Cover The Cube™ cable cut out cover comes in numerous sizes (squares and rectangles). The width of the cube is constant. Order the cube by the length and width measurements. The cube size should be slightly larger then the opening so as to create a snug fit. Should the opening have several cables going through it order the cube the exact size of the opening. The cube comes in several standard sizes:

• 6x6

• 6x9

• 6x12

• 6x18

• 6x24

• 9x9

• 9x12

• 9x18

• 9x24

• 12x12

• 12x18

• 12x24 The cube comes in two types of material:

1. Flame Proof 2. Flame Resistant

The Flame Proof cube cannot burn, melt, or smoke. The less expensive Flame Resistant cube has a very strong fire rating California CPAI -84. Both material skins will not tear or rip.

The Velocity Adjustor™

The Velocity Adjustor™ comes in one L/F size - 24 Inches. This is so it can connect the 24 inches stanchions supporting the raised floor. The velocity adjustor width is based on the depth of the subfloor. Order the Velocity Adjustor™ width 60% of the total subfloor depth. The velocity adjustor installs with cable ties that loop through the four grommets at the four corners of the Velocity Adjustor. Then loop the cable tie around the two raised floor stanchions and adjust until they are taut.

CracUP™ AC Extension The CracUP™ AC extension is designed to ship flat with four metal sides that connect in grooves at the end. When all four sides are connected it forms a strong metal extension that increases the height of the AC intake. There are three pieces of information necessary to order the CracUP™:

1. Make and Model of AC unit 2. Desired height (usually it’s the distance from the

AC unit top to the lowest point on the drop ceiling grid.

3. Access to the filter replacement The make and model number will give us the length and width dimension. The desired height is driven by the purpose. One reason is to use the drop-ceiling void as a return air plenum. Other times the increase in height is to prevent hot exhaust air from moving across the room at a lower elevation. Most AC units have side access for filter replacement. If there is no side access an opening must be made in the extension so as to facilitate filter replacement.

The ‘Polar Panel’

SubZero Engineering introduces a simple way to ensure supply air to isolated equipment. The modular polar panel is designed to trap cold air coming from the subfloor so that its only direction is into the computer equipment.
