Is time feminine or masculine?
What does hora mean?
Use Es la una to say that it is one o’clock: use Son las…. for any other time.
It is 1:00 = Es la una. It is 5:00 = Son las cinco.
Use y minutes for the number of minutes after the hour (up to 30)
It is 2:10 =Son las dos y diez. It is 1:20= Es la una y veinte.
¿Qué hora es?
Use menos + minutes for the number of minutes before the hour.
It is 12:40 = Es la una menos veinte. It is 5:50 = Son las seis menos diez.
Use y or menos cuarto for a quarter of an hour and y media for half an hour.
It is 12:15 = Son las doce y cuarto. It is 1:45 = Son las dos menos cuarto. It is 7:30 = Son las siete y media.

To say whether it is a.m or p.m you use:

To say at what time something happens , use a la(s)

In Spanish, the present tense is formed by changing the ending of the verb.
To form the present tense of a regular verb that ends in –ar, drop the –ar and add the appropriate ending.
