ICT Operative Rooms

The group of ICT operative rooms, which operate in the RESINT project,

have to look for software that are used by Civil Protection

in emergency situations, with the aim of improving the efficiency.

This type of software are very useful ad innovative but,

we think that the real innovation is the use of the augmented reality.

The company, Laser Navigation, use as software 3D CARTO that is extremely useful in a wide range of systems, such as:

• Systems that require the virtual reality, to train activities and to simulate intervention plans in case of catastrophic events• Fleet Management Systems: Mobile vehicles, troops or

individuals can be located highlighted on 3D cartography;• Systems for simulate the environmental impact;• Systems to represent data from laser scans in 3D world, to assess disasters such as earthquakes, volcanic activities, etc.
