Day 1. Arrive in Yangon. On arrival in Burma (Myanmar), transfer to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Stay: Yangon, Traders Hotel or similar.

Day 2. Yangon, Mandalay, embark cruise, Mingun. Transfer to the airport and fly to Mandalay. Here, board your river ship and cruise to Mingun, site of an impressive bronze bell and the ruins of Pahtodawgyi (the ‘unfinished pagoda’). Enjoy a Welcome Dinner tonight. 14 Night Cruise: glide along Burma’s Irrawaddy River aboard the AmAPurA. BLD

Day 3. Mandalay. A full-day tour of Mandalay today includes Kuthodaw Pagoda on Mandalay Hill and more. Later, see U Bein Bridge, the world’s longest teak bridge, in Amarapura. BLD

Day 4. sagaing, inwa. Stop at the former royal capital of Sagaing and visit the Soon U Ponya Shin and Kaunghmudaw pagodas. Later, see the sights of Inwa from a horse-drawn cart. BLD

Day 5. Yandabo, Bagan. Arrive in Yandabo and see a pottery-making demonstration. Then take in your first glimpse of Bagan from the ship.

Be dazzled by the shimmering golds of the Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon

Later, on arrival in Bagan, disembark to visit Ananda Temple and Shwezigon Pagoda. BLD

Day 6. Bagan. Pay a visit to Mount Popa, legendary home of nats (animist spirits). Later, tour the Bagan Archeological Zone, filled with thousands of stupas, temples and pagodas. BLD

Day 7. Tantkyi, salay. Visit Tantkyitaung Pagoda on Tantkyi Hill, then cruise to Salay. BLD

Day 8. Magwe. Walk up to the ornate hilltop Mya Tha Lun Pagoda at Magwe, constructed with thousands of solid gold bricks. BLD

Day 9. Minhla, Thayetmyo. Your day begins in Minhla, the site of a great battle during the Third Anglo-Burmese War. Take a small boat to visit Gwechaung and Minhla forts then continue on to Thayetmyo, a pleasant port town. BLD

Day 10. Pyay, sri Ksetra. Enjoy a tour of Pyay, which served as a transshipment point for cargo being moved between Upper and Lower Burma. Discover the gilded Shwesandaw Pagoda, then travel to the ancient ruins at the old Pyu kingdom capital, Sri Ksetra. BLD

Day 11. Myanaung. Take in the Akauk Mountains and their cliff carvings as you cruise to Myanaung. Here, a tour takes you past colonial houses and on to the local market. BLD

Day 12. Zalon. Cruise through the Irrawaddy Delta region, stopping to visit the town of Zalon. See the sights by trishaw, including Pyi Taw Pyan Pagoda and its bronze Buddha. BLD

Day 13. Danuphyu. Explore Danuphyu, the site of a significant Burmese uprising during the First Anglo-Burmese War. BLD

Day 14. Maubin. Disembark today for a tour of Maubin, home to a number of universities as well as a range of Buddhist pagodas. BLD

Day 15. Yangon. A tour today includes a visit to Yangon’s city centre and Sule Pagoda; a stop at Kandawgyi Lake; a wander through Bogyoke Aung San Market; and a visit to Shwedagon Pagoda, one of Burma’s most revered religious sites. Tonight, enjoy a Farewell Dinner. BLD

General Information & Conditions The following terms and conditions (‘booking conditions’) have been condensed for the purpose of this preview brochure. A full set of our terms and conditions can be found on our website www.aptouring.co.nz/conditions. These form the basis of your contract with Australian Pacific Touring Pty Ltd (‘APT’, ‘we’ or ‘our’). Please read them carefully as they set out your and our respective rights and obligations. By asking us to confirm your booking, we are entitled to assume that you have had the opportunity to read, and have read these booking conditions; that you agree to them and that you agree to them applying to your holiday arrangements booked with us and which we agree to make, provide or perform (as applicable) as part of our contract with you. References in these booking conditions to your ‘holiday package’ are references to the tour or cruise package you have booked with APT. References to “excursions” are references to short trips or tours included or available as part of your holiday package. Governing Law These booking conditions are governed by the law in force in Victoria, Australia.Prices – Deposits – Discounts – Payments Your booking price will be set out in this brochure unless it is varied by advertising or a special offer, or is changed after the publication date for any reason, including without limitation; to cover changes in government taxes and charges, exchange rate variations, fuel surcharges, airline charges, a force majeure event or other material increases by suppliers. Once you pay your deposit your holiday package price is guaranteed (except for any changes resulting from a force majeure event – see below). A $1,000 non-refundable security deposit per person, per holiday package is required within seven days of booking confirmation. Deposit requirements may vary when booking a special offer. Final payment of the balance of your holiday package price is due 100 days prior to departure unless stated in the terms of a special offer. APT reserves the right to cancel any ticket or booking or to refuse to carry any passenger where payment has not been received by APT within the specified time. All fares and charges are in New Zealand currency. Payment in full is required at time of booking for reservations made less than 100 days before departure from New Zealand. If APT is unable to confirm your reservation, all monies will be refunded.Not Included in Our Cruise &/or Tour Price Airfares between Australia and Burma, airport taxes, laundry (other than that which is included with butler service), passport and visa fees, meals or drinks other than those

indicated in your itinerary, excess baggage, fuel surcharges and optional excursions and gratuities not specified in your itinerary.Health & Fitness A good level of fitness and health is required to participate on APT’s holiday packages. In some destinations there are extensive sightseeing excursions by foot which includes the climbing of stairs, boarding or alighting coaches, river cruise ships and trains. We recommend a visit to the doctor before travelling to overseas destinations and consult with them regarding any vaccinations which may be required. It is your responsibility to advise APT of any pre-existing medical conditions that may affect the normal conduct of a holiday package and the enjoyment of other passengers. APT is unable to provide individual assistance to any passenger for walking, dining, disembarking or embarking cruise ships and/or coaches or other transportation vehicles or other personal needs. A Health, Fitness & Mobility Checklist can be requested at the time of booking and is available on our website.Visa & Passports Passengers are solely responsible for meeting necessary passport and visa entry requirements and paying all associated costs. APT is not responsible for delays or missed portions of the holiday package resulting from incorrect travel documents or visas. Airfares Air travel is arranged with independent airlines. APT will arrange air travel as advertised in connection with your holiday package or as otherwise arranged with APT. All airfares are subject to flight and booking class availability. Airfares will be booked and ticketed upon receipt of your deposit to avoid price or tax increases. Once air tickets are issued, airline amendment and/or cancellation fees apply and, in some cases, are non-refundable. Travel Insurance Travel Insurance is not included in your holiday package. For your protection we strongly recommend that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance that includes (without limitation) coverage for medical expenses, loss of luggage, cruise and land content and airfare charges that may occur due to cancellation, disruption, loss of deposit or strikes. Credit Card Surcharges If you pay APT by credit card, a surcharge of between 1% and 3% will be added your tour price.

Cancellation Policy For all holiday packages in this flyer, please refer to our cancellation policy and our full terms and conditions on our website.If We Change or Cancel Your Holiday Before your Departure APT endeavours to provide you with all the services confirmed to you at the time of your booking. However, we plan arrangements a long time in advance of your departure date using independent suppliers such as airlines, hotels etc., over whom we have no direct control. On occasions changes do have to be made, and APT reserves the right to cancel or amend holiday packages/excursions accordingly.Limitation of Liability in the Event of Force Majeure In the event that APT cancels or changes your travel arrangements in any way due to a Force Majeure event, APT will not be liable to you in contract, tort, statute or restitution for any loss (including, but not limited to, loss of deposit or purchase price and loss of enjoyment), damage, costs, charges, expenses or injury resulting from or in connection with (whether directly or indirectly): (a) the cancellation or change to your travel arrangements; or (b) the Force Majeure event. APT is not liable to refund any part of the deposit or purchase price paid by you if APT subsequently changes or cancels your travel arrangements in connection with a Force Majeure event. Force Majeure events are unpredictable and beyond APT’s control. It is your responsibility to purchase travel insurance to adequately protect yourself against such risks.
