• Some companies blatantly thrive on unethical behaviour

and practices

• Business houses that comply with ethics to determine

their conduct are shrinking in number

• A free environment is present or promoted where acts of

violation of norms to amass wealth in an unethical

manner is followed

• Organizations now recognize the positive effects and out

comes of being ethical , humane and considerate

Headlines are twisted and turned so that a win

can look like a loss and a loss can look like a win

Political affiliations and hence their intent of

airing the news is very controversial

Manufacturing Industry

Inferior Quality –sub standard products at a higher price. The

quality given is not up to the mark or claimed by them

Child labour- employing children below the age of 14.

example : Fireworks and Silk manufacture

Poor Working Condition- hazardous materials, harmful

situations, extreme temperatures, and abuse from employers.

Sweatshop workers often work long days, sometimes exceeding

14 hours, and earn pay far below a "living wage". Ex : Nike Inc. &

Apple Inc.

Packaging-Copying the style of packaging in order to

mislead the consumer.

• For example shoes that have the brand name PIIMA,

can mislead a customer, because of the resemblance

to the much more famous brand name PUMA

Packaging that doesn't contain warnings

Harming the environment-Coca-Cola’s bottling

plant in kala dera , Nestle (Indonesia)

1 billion animals being slaughtered every

year for the global leather industry

The animals suffer from un-anaesthetised

castration, tail-docking and dehorning

Some are even forced to walk hundreds of

miles for slaughter

CDC have found that the local residents

living by a tannery in Kentucky are five

times more likely to develop Leukaemia

transported in a lorry. But, according to PETA, four

times as many animals are forced into a single vehicle

"Exotic" animals such as alligators are also factory

farmed for their skins

• Record companies have been renowned for “screwing

over” their artists in order to advance their own funds

• Record companies can change the figures for how

many records are sold from an artist for certain

unethical purposes

No stringent standards maintained at the time of

manufacturing liquor

Selling of expired stock to addicted people at cheaper rates

Sale of unauthorized liquor (desi ,khamba ,tharra)

A form of outsourcing in which knowledge- and

information-related work is carried out by workers in a

different company or by a subsidiary of the same

organization

Companies resort to knowledge process outsourcing when

they:

Have a shortage of skilled professionals

Have the opportunity to hire skilled workers earning lower

wages in another location for a lower overall cost

UNETICAL PRATICES IN KPO

Immoral and unethical practices related to handling of crucial data

Billing rates are higher as compared to billing rates in BPOs

In the KPO they make hoax calls to customers

Breach of security-There is a theft of passwords etc

They also Make fake performance reports for better performance

incentives

There is a higher attrition rates in KPO,leaving without serving

notice period.

Dependence on drugs in order to ease out work pressure.

Uninformed shuffling of employees across the processes.

Gold is considered as a store house of value in India

India consumes over 800 tonnes of gold every year

and that accounts for 20% of world gold consumption

In India majority of jewellery is still manufactured in

traditional method

It is one of the fastest growing industry in the Indian

Economy
