Security Enhancements for SAT Testing

Registrations must include the registrant’s date of birth, gender, high school code and current grade in high school. Incomplete registrations will not be processed.

Students will be prompted to provide a current, acceptable photo of themselves as part of registration. The photo will become part of the Admission Ticket. The photo is required of almost all students.

No test day changes or standby testing will be permitted. Students may be able to request Waitlist Status online up to five days before test day.

Helping Students Submit a Photo

Some students may not have access to a digital camera or a computer at home. Here are some ways counselors may be able to help:Use school computers and cameras to take, upload and print photos.

Scan and upload yearbook photos or provide copies of photos for taping to paper forms.

Request digital copies of official school photos/portraits.

Organize photo events during which students can have their photos taken.

All photos must meet College Board photo requirements, which can be found in the Registration Guide for the SAT® and SAT Subject Tests™ or online at sat.org/photo-requirements.
